Thanks for the updates and recaps Clutch, tis much appreciated! We'll have the steal of the draft if Novak really does step in and live upto even half of the praise that's been lavished on him.

One thing that has been on my mind is Yao's toe. From your update yesterday (and from the JVG interview today on radio) it seems like the toe is still a (slight?) issue. Have you heard anything else about that subject?

In any case, thanks again for all your hard work. I dunno what I'd do without CF :D !

I would think if he's not too much of a liability on defense (personal fouls, easy layups, etc) then he'll get time because he'll be able to spread the floor. He could throw it into Yao and re-post if necessary or shoot when the D cheats. Or he could be on the weak side and wait.

Excellent weapon to have in game-closing situations. Put Head, McGrady, Battier, Novak and Yao on the floor. You deny the inside pass to Yao, one of those four perimeter guys is going to drop a three on you. You play man on man defense, either T-Mac or Yao burns you. If you let the ball go inside to Yao, he'll burn you. You double anybody, you lose. Play zone, the ball gets to Novak and he burns you.

    Pick your poison.

    Man, I love this squad.

I don't like the anticipation, rockets ans are worse at jinxing designated shooters. Glen Rice, Snackbar, Pisskowski, Langhi have all come here with great expectations only to start bricking open shots. I have a good feel for this dude, I hope we don't jinx him with our expectations.

i am just hoping novak can get stronger and maintain his shooting touch. he is a diligent player, and thats how he got his shots.

Can you imagine Bill Worrell says it in the Western Conference Finals: "McGrady drives to the lane...double teamed by Dallas...kicks it out to Novak. Novak for the win...the rookie hits it! Rockets win!" :D

Easy man. It's obviously a pipedream, not an expectation.
