If the team wants hakeem to be more visible why not appoint him to an official position on the team like maybe assistant coach, consultant, trainer, etc. so bosh would know he would be seeing a lot of hakeem on the team.

OR IS IT??? Just like we have the best pieces for a sign and trade with Toronto, we also have the same pieces for a sign and trade for Lebron.. The question is...can we convince Lebron to come play for Houston? Chances are probably the same as the DisAstros winning the World Series this year (slim to none)... but it can happen!

    "KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!"

You have to admire how the Rockets utilize fans in their marketing and pitches to Bosh.

This is a new era of "everyone is a journalist" and the Rockets are ahead of the curve.

If they think a video will help, who is to say it won't?

Good idea, and fun for some of the fans to get involved.

    Bully, I say !

Imagine if Dream showed up at your door with a jersey in hand asking you to play. How do you tell him no?

Bosh needs to hop off LeBron. Your a man now, you got to do what's best for you. Don't worry about LeBron. LeBron's just going to be hyping up the media the whole summer, and end up with the Cavs. Same with Wade and the Heat. If he was smart he would go to Houston, cause we got GREAT support.

Exactly. I wish he would just make his own decision and not base it on others so much.

I know Scola said he's cool with all the Bosh hysteria, but is anyone concerned about poisoning the well with Scola? Scola played great for us last year, and now that we added Patterson, I would think our attention should be more focused on finding a center that can play 25 minutes a night and perhaps adding another SG for when Martin inevitably gets injured again. I like the idea of waiting till the trade deadline and then making a major move for a stud to put us over the top, rather than going all in on Bosh right now. I haven't followed Bosh like some others have, but isn't he really a 4, not a 5? And what happens if Patterson ends up being as good as Landry?

I don't know if breaking the bank for Bosh is the best course of action in light of what we did last night, and in light of how well Scola has played. We should be concentrating on a pure 5 who can block shots and defend, shouldn't we?

I would be ashamed of Hakeem for lowering himself to being a salesman for the rockets for this attention w****. if that doesnt work maybe hakeem create a twitter afterwards and tweet how badly houston needs bosh to win maybe even survive. then he can create a video and put on a tuxedo and tap dance for bosh, and if bosh just so much as even smiles to was all worth it.

screw that, bosh can meet hakeem after bosh takes us to the finals, until then he deserves no attention from hakeem.

its amazing that people think these websites and videos and songs are going to really help a player come play for thier team. these guys are stars already, what city doesnt have fans that will welcome them with open arms?

bosh continues to say he is waiting on lebron, does lebron have dibs on houston and he is waiting to see if lebron decides he doesnt want to come to houston, and hes got second dibs on houston? NOPE, he is waiting on lebron to sign so he can join him.

I'm not worried about Scola bolting for another team over this. He's made it very clear that he wants to stay in Houston. He has a history of loyalty that we shouldn't take for granted, but shouldn't forget, either. Luis also has immense confidence in himself. I have no doubt that as long as the contract is fair, he'll return, positive in his own mind that he's going to get his minutes, no matter what happens.

It's funny Bosh say he wants to be the man on the team and yet he wants to follow Lebron? What kind of a man is that? I don't like when player want to call himself the man or be the man that makes everyone better. It almost like he demand attention. You're what people judge you...not what you think you are!! Let the people decide who you are....your job is to play the game and let the action speak for itself. Everything else will take care of it self. Michael Jordan is not going to come out and say i am the best the most dominant in the league. HE DOES NOT DO THAT!! People that watch him play DECIDED he's the BEST!! It is the PEOPLE that create the image and the status of Michael Jordan. MJ just go and prove it on the court...he doesnt' have to say anything.

With that said, Bosh shouldn't raise himself FOR HIMSELF because that is not what created you. Ultimately it's the people that decided who you will become. If you're an All-Star, guess what?? It's the people that put you there. If you raise yourself without the people...this is sort of selfish and self-center.

No, if Houston is Bosh's choice, then Colangelo has the choice between...

    Getting whatever we offer...

Getting nothing at all once Bosh straight up signs with another team.

I don't think its that, i think it's more a case of avoiding being conferenced, or worse divisioned against lebron if he ends up with some sort of dynasty roster.

Realistically Bosh is an on the ball scorer, players like Wade and James need off the ball scorers, barring Dirk whose probably the best off the ball scorer in the NBA right now(but likely wont leave Dallas), Amare would be a much better fit for either of them.

I really want him to come but after watching the video, he lumped Houston in with NY and Dallas and I don't think those are teams he wants to go to. I hope I'm wrong though because it would be a great basketball move to come here because the team is ready.
