    I don't bemoan Oden for that. No one deserves to go through that kind of pain. You think Deke would wish that upon Oden?

    Oden probably is not going to last in the NBA. His body or his luck just aren't there and there's a long list of big men with injury problems including Yao.

    He's not a bad guy - and he's just a kid. But his patella broke without a collision even. That is really kind of just saying his body isn't designed to take this sport.

    My heart goes out to Oden and Blazer fans. It is a heartbreaker indeed.

    Agreed, unfortunately. I thought that Oden had landed on Brook's foot. But after watching the replay of his injury, Brooks never touched him (except for a mid air brush)

    Its hard to see where the fracture actually occured......his bones may be too fragile to play in the NBA.
