I don't bemoan Oden for that. No one deserves to go through that kind of pain. You think Deke would wish that upon Oden? Oden probably is not going to last in the NBA. His body or his luck just aren't there and there's a long list of big men with injury problems including Yao. He's not a bad guy - and he's just a kid. But his patella broke without a collision even. That is really kind of just saying his body isn't designed to take this sport.
Don't hasitate to come back too soon, Greg. Look through your long future by wide sight. And Blazers' fans, cheerup!
I really feel bad for the guy. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/07/sports/basketball/07nba.html Brandon Roy said Oden apologized as he was wheeled off the court. He later apologized in the locker room.
Agreed, unfortunately. I thought that Oden had landed on Brook's foot. But after watching the replay of his injury, Brooks never touched him (except for a mid air brush) Its hard to see where the fracture actually occured......his bones may be too fragile to play in the NBA.
thanks. anyone Rocket fan who saw Barkley get hurt in Philly knew that his career was over. In some ways this is worse because Oden has barely played and Charles has had a stellar career.
