Sampson goes on record saying that Lin's defense is underrated. If Sampson would say Lin is bad, I guess Lin's defense is publicly rated as non-existent?...

I would say Lin's defense is both weak and good. He gives good help and does a good job reducing the passing lane. He stills needs to do a much better job coordinating with the big on PnR defense.

Similar to his offensive game, lol. Strange that he's so underdeveloped at this age. But one things for sure, I'm a 100% sold that this cat has what it takes to improve on his weaknesses for the next several years when he will come into his prime as a late bloomer.

Lin hustles and is disruptive but not good D. Harden isn't the only poor defense fit for Lin. Dwight picks up a lot of fouls on his own so they need to limit dribble penetration even more so.

No way. Who can we get at his price?
He might not have scored a lot tonight, but his defense is still there. I remember he grabbed an offensive rebound by the end of 4th. He's doing the little things for us.

Why? So we can save the Rockets $500 000 a year? Or to give Aaron Brooks more playing time?

Here's a recent article showing the ridiculousness of people's views around the league:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/jeremy-lin-linsanity-2013-11

He was so good during Linsanity because the Knicks treated him like Derrick Rose ... but he ain't Derrick Rose. The Rockets trading for James Harden in the fall of 2012 — before Lin had played a single game was a recognition of this fact.
Lin suddenly became an off-ball scoring guard, a role in which he has proven significantly less effective.Harden initiates the offense and takes the bulk of the shots. He does all the things that Lin did in New York.Lin's job is to make open three's and exploit the mismatches when Harden breaks down the defense. Since he's neither a great three-point shooter nor an explosive guy off the dribble, his numbers have slipped.

The old Lin is still there. On Wednesday night in Philly he scored 34 points on 19 shots, with 12 assists and eight turnovers in 48 (!) minutes played — a throwback Lin stat line...

I swear man.. people should not write articles (or post for that matter) if they don't know what they are talking about.. smh.

With the Asik drama going on, it seems obvious that the reason TT was tried is because Asik demanded that he start or be traded. Lin deserves extra appreciation for playing hard instead of making the same kind of demand.

Not even close to the same situation. Lin was always going to get minutes whether he starts or not, Asik on the other hand needed the twin towers lineup to work or his play time was going to be limited to the 10-14 minutes a game Dwight sits.

Lin doesn't deserve extra appreciation, Asik just deserves to lose some respect for not handling his situation better. I fully understand his position, but you can't sulk, make a scene and not even play.
