it seemed like he was trying to calm brooks down... i was at the game and its pathetic how 3 refs miss the call. There were 2 refs in front of the AB play.. there was a ref in front of the Shane Battier push and NO CALLS. I think this was the refs' way to make up for the "supposed bad interp of rules" in Dallas. But their plan backfired when the Mavs couldnt deliver in the final seconds.

IMO, the refs had it in for the Rockets the whole game, but especially the last few minutes when they felt that the game was slipping away in favor of the Rockets. Had the Mavs won, the thinking in the league office was that perhaps the Mavs would then forget about that 1st appeal. One little problem: the Rockets won DESPITE the padi-for zebras. HA!

NBA refs disguss me, i hate the fact that Players cant speak out their opinions on the officiating crew when games like this happen...I also hate how the league still lets it happen, they have no shame... STOP CALLING IT FOR THE STARZ AND CALL IT EVEN, I ALSO HATE THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE MAKE UP CALLS, what kinda of crap is that  ... Go ROCKETS and F MAVERICKS

I'm not sure exactly what was being said, but Brooks had just been fouled (no-call) and had stormed to the sidelines and kicked chairs. Keith Jones and others were trying to calm him down.

When we make it to the playoffs, please let us match up against anyone other than the Mavs first round.

I would say there was about 3 calls.

1-The one when Howard was driving to the basket and Battier blocked his shot and they put it as a shooting foul.

2-When Landry was posting Dirk and Dirk almost broke his wrist when he tried to slap the Ball, and ofcourse there was no call, and Brooks scored the late 3.

3-When brooks was going to the basket and under the basket Dirk slapped his elbow and prevented him from scoring.

It's just embarrassing and disgrace to the NBA

As far as I am concerned, Dirk is not needed here. Cuban can go "make out" with himself!

I don't why people making big deal out of it (not an attempt to bash this thread).... it's clear that Ariza was telling him and advice to something, the trainer, the coach and Anderson were trying to gather both of them for the timeout, I don't see anything significant their.

I think officiating was fine for most of the game...until the last minute of the game. I dont think its a coincidence that the Mavs wanted to dispute the last minute of the game and wanted to REPLAY the last minute IN DALLAS. Since that just seems ridiculously obsurd to even think about replaying a PART of a game, i think the NBA wanted it to be played out this way. If Dallas can take advantage, great...if not, then too bad..you had your shot in the "last 60 seconds of the game".

I thought he was calming Brooks down. If he was telling Brooks that driving to the rim and trying to convert a layup was the wrong thing to do then I disagree. I'd rather have a guard going to the rim and getting A LOT of contact than have him kicking it out to average shooters. If Aaron keeps being aggressive like that HE WILL start getting the calls. If he doesn't then that will be one less tool in his tool chest at the end of games.

This always seems to happen even more so after Mark Cuban cries to his second main man, David Stern.

His first main man is John Cena

I don't see why DM won't let bygones be bygones. The rockets won. Thats what matters. Everyone who has ever played in the league knows that there are "make-up" calls. The hacking on brooks was a make-up for the no-call on Terry getting hit on the head.

Just be happy with the win! I'd rather the rockets NOT have to re-play the New Years Eve game too :(

Good point, what was he thinking? Haha, he probably thought when someone slaps you on your arm so you can't get your shot up they call it a foul.

    What was he thinking?

Why would I disclose how I know things? Isn't that part of the fun, wondering how people know what's going on?

Even if I told you, people would argue with me and tell me I am wrong or doubt me so it is what it is. See McGrady situation and what I told this bbs before it became public.

This is why I detest the whiney Cuban and his thugs so much. He probably tells them to go ahead and hack because he knows how to play the officials.

    LOL. Good one.

But man that was an incredible display of self control by Battier. You can see him contain his rage and will himself into a smile in literally seconds. Talk about emotional intelligence, this guy has it in spades.

Much thanks to Clutch for this video.

Well, unlike some of the other "insiders" you seem to post much more of your opinions. People would rather not try to sift through what is opinion and what is fact. When it comes from someone like Clutch it is fact.

And, it's difficult to tell how much of an insider you are. At times it seems like you're just speculating.

But, keep it coming. We apreciate the info...whether we believe it or not.
