And I compare that because they allegedly want to play together. Just like Dwight and CP3

If it got us James, I'd be all over it. You do pretty much anything to acquire the best player in the league, even if it means losing your team's best player. If getting Melo and losing Harden gets you Lebron James, you don't even blink. We have young talent and plenty of picks to toss in there, as well.

Heck, and I'm not even a fan of Mr. James. I'm a fan of his talent.

    Same.
Harden still gets to be the man in New York and the city might be more appealing to him, who knows. Everybody wins.

Wish them luck pulling that off and wait for them to get serious.

They can do it in Miami or Houston.

When I compare the lineups I can't help but favor the Harden, Lebron, Dwight trio.

    Pat
    Harden
A chicken with his head cut off
    Lebron
    Dwight

Deadly from inside and out! Plenty of ways to score from all over the floor. And we would have some great spacing!

    Vs.

    Pat
    ????
    Melo
    Lebron
    Dwight

Would be amazing from 17 feet and in, but very questionable on the perimeter. Teams would stack the paint and it might get a little congested since Lebron and Melo's offensive games are not great from the outside.

    But what do I know?

Sure, if Melo wants to take the MLE in Miami, then they could do it.

Yeah, the Harden/Lebron/Howard team would be a LOT better than the Melo/Lebron/Howard team, but it seems like people around here have something against Harden.

If trading Harden got you James and Melo, hypothetically, you wouldn't do it?

Why, we'd have 3 catch and shoot SF's on the roster. Harden and LeBron around this core is a better and more natural fit.

Which I personally don't get since he is the man that revived our freaking franchise! I get he is a horrid defender but he is like 25 and an All NBA 1st teamer and he is the only reason we can even have this conversation right now. Lebron wouldn't look twice at us without James just like Dwight wouldn't have!

Again, that's a pretty crazy assumption and in that scenario why not just trade Howard and keep Asik?

If the selling your soul to Satan got you the world, hypothetically, you wouldn't do it?

I get the feeling Melo and James want to play with each other and Morey is willing to make it happen.

There are two players in the NBA I'd trade James Harden for: LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

So yeah, even if it meant losing Harden, I'd pull the trigger.

How? By trading away Howard and Lin to create cap space?
