I really hope LeBron opts out, and Morey at least "gets a shot" to talk to him. Allow Morey to show LeBron the Rockets "path forward" in terms of current talent and avenues to add talent for the coming seasons. I have faith Morey can show that.

I would put Beverly at PG and have Lebron at PF. Other than Harden, we have a defensive juggernaut of a team

So, has anyone posted the article about how LeBron is getting tired of the Heat owner?

    He's reportedly "annoyed" with Arison.

Of course Pat Riley, today, defended the moves to dump Miller and Anthony

But really, does dumping those guys really show you're not committed to winning (or paying the tax)? Miller never really stayed healthy and Anthony was a nobody(who was somehow making $3.8 million--this year and next.) Why in the first place was Joel Anthony making $3.8 million?

Man, think of how enticing we would be to LeBron if we beat Portland in the playoffs and pushed SA hard in the second round… Darn you Milk Hair

I think that's something we could use to our advantage if we get a chance to meet with LeBron. It's been reported in the past that Les is more than willing to ante up when given a true chance to contend.

It was Mike Miller or nothing. They choose nothing. Miller would have helped this year especially with Wade sitting out 28 games. Lebron even commented throughout the season on how Miller was missed because Wade was out. He noticed that.

Also they refused to use the MMLE this year to save luxury tax. They even traded their draft pick to dump Joel instead of selecting a player that can help the team. I said last year that Arison's cheapness would haunt him because Lebron would notice it and he has noticed it. This combined with Wade's breakdown and Bosh being overrated and Miami having no cap room means Lebron is LeGone imo.

Joel was being 3.8 million because Riley is an idiot LOL.

It gives LeDiva an out. It's his golden ticket excuse for bailing, and it's actually semi legit. Did the Heat become complacent?

That article said Miller position was able to be filled by other shooters on their roster. Miller can play PF, SF, SG, SOMEtimes PG. And he is a good rebounder and passer. And shot a great 3 pt FG%. He did not stay healthy, but he was a great player. & Always showed up for the playoffs. They let him go because It was a money saving move.

Arison the Heats owner is also the owner of the infamous carnival cruise company. They have been known for in the past for cutting a lot of costs thus having many cruise ships stalling, breaking down, etc. Stranding people in the Gulf of Mexico. So its obvious he has an recent history of being cheap.

James will not be surrounded with talent. Arison will try to squeeze out every penny he can out of Lebron James, similar to Dan Gilbert. Arisen #1 priority seems to be making money, then priority #2 is to win.

I would "hope" Les Alexander would reverse these priorities and make winning #1 & money #2. But based on him giving Morey the freedom to be cut throat occasionally as a GM. It would be best to assume the Rockets Owner is about winning.

Also concerning the Clippers, they still have too much drama going on with ownership, and you have NO idea how the new owner will be. It would be a huge distraction to James is he went there. And with the rumored trade of Jordan, and Crawford being offered for James. It would make the Clippers a horrible defensive team inside. And they would struggle with bigger teams with rebounding and shot blocking. And they don't have the track record of finding great players with late draft picks and D league players like Houston.

Going back to the Miami side. Wades knees are not going to get better. He rested a ton and was basically healthy. And he still couldn't do anything. Boris Diaw, 37 yr old ginobili, and Danny Green blew past him many times. And he couldnt even get past them. James will have to work harder next yr. Even sadder is that in the finals game he played pretty much the whole game when it was competitive. Thats just too many minutes. No matter ow much you train the body cannot do that. Kobe Bryant tried to carry the load play 48 min per game etc to get to the playoffs and suffered a career ending injury.

Honestly Dwight needs to give James time. But he really needs to contact him and tell him to do whats best for him. Logically Houston is the best choice. Emotionally, Cleveland or Miami is Lebrons best choice. Last I checked men are mostly logical thinkers. ( Except clutchfans posters they are emotionally charged people defying all reason & logic. Example is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wse_hgca220 )

I'll post more when I have the time.

The Heat made several cost-cutting moves last year. But one can argue it may also partly be due to clearing capspace.

    Did not use their MLE.
    Amnestied Miller(2 years left).
Traded Joel Anthony(2 years left) for Toney Douglas and threw a pick into the deal.
    Signed only minimum level players.

And he needs to win every single championship from now until he's 38 to top BIll Russell. Championships are a lot, but they aren't everything. If Lebron gets at least 4, he'll be all over the goat discussion.

Will Morey clear all the necessary cap space on or before draft night? Or do you guys think he may hold onto Lin/Asik/Dmo/Tjones/25th pick for s&t possibilities?
