Honestly I would prefer Melo and keep Parsons and Jones.

This isn't Melo or Love it's:

    Melo/Parsons/Jones/DMo/picks vs Love

    Go to Chicago Kevin

I think he got it right. From what I gathered, he is saying that Love is more interested in making the playoffs than winning a ring for now.

I would definately like this move. Just like he said he scored more than James and Out-Rebounded Dwight, but i think that we should target LeBron James in all reality. The reason i say this is because defensively we would suffer & as A Houston Rockets fan we need to play better perimeter defense. Lin and Asik are okay backups. Dwight missed a few games and we were lucky to have him (Asik)

Next! Love will most likely end up in the West Coast with the Warriors.

He is easily the best "fit" of everyone we're talking to.....including Lebron. Obviously Lebron is the better player, but there would need to be a lot of changes to how we play with him.

Offensively the reasons are obvious. He can score from anywhere on the floor, is a willing passer, and can run the floor/throw the outlet pass.

On defense, he's not near as bad a fit as some imagine. He's next to perhaps one of the worst rim protecting big men in the game (Pekovic). There's no reason that with Dwight he can't become an above average defender.

That outlet pass is a thing of beauty. I think on that merit he would fit perfectly.

    Chandler catching those passes...man

    1. Nobody is recruiting. Not Dwight. Not James. They're both on record that they're not recruiting. And Parsons is for sure not "recruiting". At least not on the record.

    2. Parson is working out in Cali with Love.

    3. Parsons just followed Love on twitter.

    4. Boston drafted Marcus Smart and announced they are keeping him. Minny don't need a point guard. And Smart is not a catch-and-shoot specialist but is a handler/playmaker. Simply not a fit in Minnesota with Rubio. This means Rondo is probably on the market as Boston breaks down and rebuilds. Which means their pursuit of Love is probably over.

    5. The GS Warrior rumors have been spinning wheels for 2 weeks with the same rumor being recycled over and over again. David Lee doesn't have value. He's dead salary. And nothing in Klay Thompson says he wants to hang around in Minnesota.

    6. Love has told CLE, DEN, PHX a flat-out no.

    7. Rockets now own the single best draft pick value with the Pelies 2015 pick for Asik. It's more valuable than unprotected picks from the Celts/Nets.

    8. Rockets are not in any rumors for Love. Yet we all know there's an offer(s) on the table for him from Morey...and we haven't been told no.

    9. My sources are flat-out indicating to me that we are trying like h.... to trade for Love.

Basketball decisions should be based on....BASKETBALL. Not personal obsessions with certain player/s. Nothing wrong with what Clutch may have said about Parsons. The main goal is to win a championship. Granted some players in the past were harder to part with, but those players did so much more for this franchise....you know like win us a couple of championships.

This is your best post supporting your stance but other than the Pelican's 1st what players (to make up salary) is being offered Minny? And don't say Lin, because Minny is absolutely not interested in him. Other than Toronto and maybe Hinkie, there are not a lot of teams willing to take his bloated contract on and/or help Morey.

And if Toronto re-signs Lowry, there is no chance that Lin can be moved there for picks/players. So how does Rockets move enough salary in Love trade without using Parsons in a S&T? Minny wants young talent specifically at the 2/3 (e.g. Klay or Parsons) and do not think either Lin, TJ, D-Mo and/or Canaan qualify.

To me Kevin love = Shareef Abdur Raheem imho. If we get him I hope he proves me wrong but to me seems like a bunch of empty stats.

Take the whole roster and subtract Harden, Howard, Parsons. That's really what's available. Now....the Rox are trying to preserve Daniels. And they'd prefer to offer up Covington as an asset and keep Daniels and Canaan. But they'll move any of them besides the first 3 to get Love (and others) in here.

No comparison. Love is a hoss. Abdur Rahim was all about finesse. He wouldn't bang to save his life.
