I had actually considered this exact trade after Larry Coon hazarded a guess that Denver might be the likeliest destination for Asik. Not saying that I think the Rockets would do it. But it makes at least some sense.

FWIW, though, as a Base Year Compensation player, Mozgov cannot be traded until January 15.

If Asik and Lin for Rondo will take the ball out of Harden's hands, then I'm all for it.

After reading so many poor suggestions re the trade of Omer Asik I do like the proposed idea of the trade with Denver. I do however feel adamant that we should keep Lin and Jones on our roster! They both are young and with potential and fit very well within the plan of the concept of the rocket's plan.Y:p

    I like the Denver trade.

Though another possibility I would consider would be Beverly and Asik for Lowry and Valanciunas. I think Lowry would be rejuvenated coming back home after his Raptor stint and Valanciunas is 21 and can back up Howard.

Loool seriously guys, chill out, some of these trade ideas are ludicrous.

While we're at it, let's trade our second round pick for Lebron, why don't we...

Personally I can't see Morey moving Asik for Paul Milsap, its not enough in return for Asik IMO.

This sad to say it but harden has become our melo

You can't win with iso ball unless you have 2 7' years or shaq which is the equivalent

I actually thought it might be smart to move harden and try get someone like love then make another big move for affalo

Interestingly enough, the Atlanta fans have the opposite point of view...

Isn't it amazing how no matter what the trade is, fans from BOTH teams feel like they're being fleeced?

Just a random thought I wonder if chicago will blow things up to a degree if rose is out.

Deng would be a nice piece but still dont know why the want asik

    on totally opposite though.,

I would love to see Asik and something to orlando for tobias harris

I bet Denver would love that.

There's a reason Kostas Koufos started over McGee last year. Highlight reel dunks and blocks does not a competent NBA center make.

There's also the matter of McGee making over $11 million per year over the next 3 years. I'd prefer not to dip deep into the luxury tax going forward (and/or having to avoid using the MLE during that span) for that guy.

yah but as a back up i thought it would be good...but i jiust saw his salary..wouldnt work anyway.

I would love wilson chandler though...who do you think fits better chandler or deng?

    Wouldnt deng be
better filling in as as stretch 4 than chandler or even parsons?

Chandler's SALARY fits better than Deng's over next few years (Deng makes over $14 million in the final year of his contract and will surely get PAID next summer), but Luol Deng is one of the most perfect fits for this Rockets team.

Deng is one of the best wing defenders in the league, he can play/defend multiple positions (SF, PF and even some SG), and he's got a good offensive game to go with his defense.

If the Rockets were confident that they could re-sign Deng to a reasonable long-term deal this summer (Hint: they're likely not), I'd be all for moving Asik (plus someone/thing else) back to Chicago for Deng.

I like it! Gets you the backup center and an athletic wing.

Can't do that unless you're getting another coach to replace McHale.

Atlanta is 8-5 with a new rookie head coach and a pretty big roster shakeup. Granted, they haven't played much against contenders yet, but ATL has to be feeling pretty good about their team. If they were 5-8, I think it would be a different story. We'll see how ATL looks in 3 weeks.
