If it falls in the top 20, the Rockets keep their pick.

It's just better not to compare anyone to Kevin Durant

Whichever way we want the opposite. He's literally always wrong. Hopefully he wants Mobley because I want Green

Just a heads up that the 2025 pick swap is top 10 protected, not top 20. Another bonus is OKC also has an unprotected swap that year with the LA Clippers and they can only swap with one team.

So if the Rockets had the 11th pick but the Clippers were 10th or higher, the Thunder would swap with LAC and Houston would keep their pick.

This of course is assuming that the Thunder are better than one or both of those teams, which is by no means a safe assumption.

How does the 2024-2026 picks affect our ability to trade/protect our 2021-2023 picks? I am assuming we can't trade the 2023 pick, but if we were to trade the 2022 pick I am assuming we can only protect it for 1 year?

Because the Rockets own the Bucks' unprotected 2023 first rounder, they are free to trade their 2023 pick. Otherwise, it would be a violation of the Stepien Rule.

Makes me wonder how much ACTUAL work some of the writers at these mock sites do! So many SG/PG combos with the 20's picks - even with guys like Kai Jones and Trey Murphy on the board (tankathon mock)??? I dont know.

I can live with a Mobley/Cam Thomas pairing as I feel Cam may be the next pure scorer in this draft next to Jalen Green, I just dont think Ayo at 24 after those two maximizes things for Houston. If it would have been mocked Kai or Murphy AFTER going Mobley/Cam then it makes more sense. Even some Jalen Green at 2 mocks have ROX taking PGs as if THAT is the move to compliment Green! LOL

Sounds like someone else is noticing too!
