Yeah we would be worse team right now with CP3. Brodie just adds a whole new dimension to this team that we sorely lack. @larsv8 just hating on Westbrook as usual

 

purely an assumption. the numbers certainly don't back that up. if the rockets had cp3, they'd actually have some assets to improve the team. rather than having to give up CC. this team didn't even get better in the first place and why they're scrambling for some kind of impact move now

I just don’t understand this idea that Capela isn’t bringing anything to our squad. He’s such an antidote to Denver and Utah it’s painfully obvious. We’ve seen what the squad looks like against Denver without Clint; with him we’re virtually undefeated. And Utah in the playoffs with Gobert given free reign to basically shutdown guard penetration (aka Russell Westbrook), we will need somebody to run the PnR and actually compete against him in the box.

If Tilman really wants to show us he’s committed to paying the tax, then trade Nene with a FRP for something that could crack our rotation, like Crowder or Markieff. I’d prefer them plus Capela than Covington without him.

 

I believe CP3 and Harden would get along fine if the Rockets were able to add quality depth.

 

There were definitely some "Him or Me" reports coming out after CP3 went Duhon in the playoffs. Makes me wonder.

 

Against Utah, Gobert will be out defending the three point line. Good luck on those closeouts If you are contesting Westbrook at the rim.

Clutch, i really felt you on this podcast. Maybe not so much your obsession with Clarke, but most everything else. We are a fundamentally different team with the Russ/James combo and it will require us to make some significant roster changes. I think you guys hit the Tillman issue dead on. The moves taken by themselves haven't been egregious, but taken all together they are starting to add up to something significant. I still think that what we do before the trade deadline will send the signal as to how serious Tillman is about winning. We can't just do nothing this year. We're not contenders as is.

 

Rockets need to get AG, Trez or Clarke.

RoCo should not be Morey's primary focus.
