so what's the deal with DST and winter time. A lot of us are locals, and we're not going to deal with the cold well.
Unfortunately, I am not. Wife will be gone Saturday and I'll be watching the little ones. And the littlest one is 3 now so he is much more mobile than the last time I brought him to the court. I don't know that I'd feel comfortable just letting him run around while we played.
The cold sucks. Here in the northeast, we'd been playing at 6AM all summer, but then we switched to 2PM when it started getting cold. In a few more weeks that's not going to work either. I've been looking around for a decent indoor place to play, and got a meeting tomorrow with the director of the local YMCA. Not sure if you guys have YMCA's in Houston, but it's something to look into if you're interested. Even if everyone who plays got a YMCA membership, it's only like $50 for a year's membership. But I think I might be able to work out some kind of group deal to pay even less and reserve the court for 2-3 hours once a week. If you guys are interested I can post with what the details of the agreement we work out are, in case you're interested in doing something similar. Wait... how cold does it even get in Houston?
Oh, okay, yeah, so that's pretty much the way we feel We played one day in the morning when it was around 50 but with wind and nearly froze our asses off. That's when we switched to afternoon. These last few weeks it's been mid-50's in the afternoon.
Any interest today? Looks like the weather may cooperate. It was rainy/nasty out this morning over here towards Katy, but its beautiful out now. Not sure about how it looks over towards pin oak.
I'll be there right around 3:30 or so. I'll see if I can't get ahold of moes and get him to come out as well.
