I don't do it for that DD. I genuinely like to work hard so when some random tries to go at me he knows by the end of the game who's better or at least who worked harder. It's a pride thing, bro. Also everything going on outside of basketball goes away when I play. I wouldn't take a million dollars to give up basketball, real talk.
I played until I was 43, at least 3 or 4 times a week, but the body betrays you my friend......Now, in order to play again, I would need to get surgery on one of my feet to get a big bulging nerve taken out.......everytime I run, the bones rub on the nerve back and forth....it is like walking on glass. Enjoy it while you can, I am now limited to AAU coaching......season starts in January....woot ! DD
That's another reason, I'm 26, I want to play as much as I can in my prime. That injury sucks, bro. Why not get the surgery? I used to live in Austin, you play at that Y by Town Lake? I played there, but most of the time it was Gregory. Get healed and I'll come out.
There were several options to try, one was injecting alcohol directly into the nerve, I had that done 8 times, and while it shrunk it somewhat, it did not kill it or shrivel it completely. Getting it cut out would leave my toes numb, so I am weighing the surgery, and may get it done in the new year, but right now, it doesn't bother me that much unless I run..... DD
I'm so down for an Austin roadie. If they can find a private indoor place, I would be so down for it. Dadakota has to be there and tinman has to be there so I can go Maxwell on him and throw a punch.
you couldn't guard me, guaranteed. seriously, ill put you in the torture chamber if I thought that you thought you could stop me. Edit: That sounds arrogant. If we were to play a game you would know I was on the court.
This incident was maybe three years ago. ClutchCityReturns found a court off of Durham, right before Memorial/Allen Parkway. It was the Delpelchin Center. Anyhoo, a group of them were outside and two girls about age 10 or so got into a fight. They were big girls too. The person who worked there were like 5 feet tall 95 lbs or so. They were going at it pretty good. None of us really approached them. I sure as hell didn't but I did anyway. But yeah man, those girls were tough. I only went because that little lady wanted our help. That was fun. Come on now, Austin vs Houston run IN YOUR CITY.
Look, we'll hoop anywhere, anytime to get our boy to meet Miley. She does not know him. I got a damn movie script right there.
For those of you familiar with Sugar Land...do people still play pick-up ball at Barrington Place Elementary courts? That used to be the spot in the late 1990s.
