full court or bust. I got better options for my Saturday basquetbol funtime than to travel 25 miles for some half court games..... serialessly ghuys why not just run 10 on 10 on the 7 foot goals with no outta bounds and without keeping score thatdaway no one has to worry about losing and having to sit and wait people can just hop in and out as they please like a swimming pool.

I've been calling for some full court with the kiddie rims since we started playing there.. but nobody would do it. I can already see ClutchCity and moes flying all over the place.

What if we bring some speakers and play the 8 mile soundtrack in the background?

i'm up for competitive full court bball as much as anyone, but i think these get-togethers are a chance for CLUTCHFANS to play and have fun. i can always play full court at the 24 hour fitness gym, but i know i'd hardly get to touch the ball over there. frankly, it's not fun to sit on the bench for half an hour or longer. and truthfully, half of us aren't in great shape.

i think the half court 4 on 4, and the next four have next on the first court that loses is a great idea.

    Fer reeeeeals.

There are no less than six courts that I frequent between my house and our Saturday spot (a 20-ish mile drive), and I could play full court competitive ball at each of them. About three days a week, I do just that. But that's not really why I go to our get-togethers.

Hey Kurt, did you leave the net there? I wonder if it's still hanging there.

Yeah, I left them there. For one thing, it's a lot more work to put them up than it seems like it would be. Besides that, I wanted to do something nice for the kids. Spread the holiday cheer and all that.

    Plus they were only $3.87

I don't know what u r insinuating, but I can say it reads fairly insulting. Did I come off as a white guy acting black to u? I like to be friendly and sociable as much as the next guy, but not while playing basketball against people I really don't know.

And if it's an inside joke about 8 Mile that I don't know about then I retract my statements.

Sorry, but your whole "I've got better things to do than drive down for half court basketball, tough **** for everyone else who can't play like me" came off pretty rude IMO. I'm sure you love playing basketball as much as anybody and you're obviously good at it, but we come together not just to play some ball but to mingle with other clutchfans as well, as CCR eluded to earlier, we could be going to different venues if we wanted some higher skill-level full court competition.

Last week was fun for some of us, but others couldn't keep up or couldn't get on the court, and I think when we started doing this we most of all want to encourage people to come out and play, not to come out and stand around not getting to play because they aren't as physically fit or as skilled as others.

I was trying to come up with a solution that would benefit everyone else who decided to devote their time to drive out and play. That is why I proposed that we play half-court games, and as a compromise suggested the winning teams could then play 1 full court game to try and level things out.

Sorry if my comment offended you, It was a joke, I do that.
