can't stress this enough but this statement is not nearly as bad as people make it seem. it's actually a good thing and will help harden tremendously.

I could be ok with Rondo at the right price. A SnT swap of Rondo and Beverley might work for both teams and players.

If Rondo were seriously considering Houston, I'd want to know 2 things:

    1) Will he fall in line like Josh Smith did? Can he accept reduced minutes or if necessary, coming off the bench?

    2) Can the Rockets find enough shooters to fill out this team with?

Not down with Rondo. Don't like that he quit on his team. Don't like the fact his outside shooting is awful. The Warriors figured out what to do playing against Tony Allen by putting Bogut on him for goodness sakes.

I just don't see Rondo as a good fit. Whoever the Rockets get at PG has to be able to play "off the ball" and be effective. I dont see that with Rondo. It was the same situation as with Rondo and Monta Ellis.

There's some truth there, but if the Rockets don't have to give up more than Beverley for him, I'd be ok with it.

This is the dilemma with a guy like Harden. You don't want to take the ball out of his hands. That's actually what we've been doing. But you also don't want to run him to the ground.

Harden' is not Kobe. A guy like Fisher fit because he had a steady hand setting up the offense without actually having to create. Kobe didn't hold the ball for 10 seconds because he made a move. He was ready to score when he got the ball. If he got trapped, Fisher would be there spotting up for the open shot.

If we want a "better jump shot" Beverley playing with Harden, we would have to change the offense. You don't just give Harden the ball in a vacuum and let him create. You set him up with some player and ball movements and spot up the PG as safety valve. But is Harden good at this kind of offense like Kobe?

Not even Lebron is too good to share ball-handling duties. Even early, team-on-his-back, LeBron had Mo Williams. Harden needs some help, badly.

Attitude problems aside, Rondo is a lonnnngshot IMO.

I think someone is still going to pay him $8-10mil, probably on something like a 2 yr deal. Rockets can only get to that point by getting rid of Ariza, basically, and if you're going to go that far you might as well go all out for the top tier Free Agents.

This isn't even mentioning Rondo's fit within the offense and role. IF he were available at the MLE and willing to play a lesser role than he has in the past, I'd consider, but even then I'd be looking at what else I could get with that money.

Thank you Bev, let's admit Bev D was no where near 2013-2014. We was more focused on the offensive end.

The reason why we need the PG to "create" is because:

    a) We don't have a star in the post. If we did, then Bev could just walk it up and dump it to him half the time and let Harden do his thing the other half.

    b) Harden isn't Lebron or KD. Harden is a superstar, but he is still a tad below these guys. I don't know if he's just being stubborn, or it's just inability, but he can't just make a move and go. He spends too much time prodding the D, so that means more fatigue and more opportunities for the D to surprise him with off side help.

So, yeah, we need more than a better shooting Beverley.

harden needs to play off ball off of catch and shoots

to preserve his energy for the times he needs to start going into 1v1 situations

I think Morey really wants that star PF, so he can just keep Bev...if that fails, then he may just have to go all in and hope there's a way to keep Beverley AND bring over Llull.

For the capologists....anyway to combine those two possibilites?

    Beverley/Llull
    Harden
    Ariza
    FA
    Howard

All jokes aside, Rondo would be great here... if we didn't have Harden.

I can't believe you guys are talking about Rondo, the dude is a complete diva. Look at what he did to the Mavs, a team that was supposed to have great chemistry. The last thing we need to do is add him to a team who's chemistry is already rocky.

If we're going to have a guard we need a sharp shooting guard like bradley beal and have the 2 guard combo. James is a good enough play maker to foergo a real PG.

The big, big turnover games are few and far between. Hardens turnover number is right inline with most star players who have the ball a lot. A sharpshooter next to him insures that all the wide open threes he creates are actually put to better use. Terry, Ariza and Brewer leave a lot to be desired in 3 point shooting.

But still we can't leave 90% of our playmaking to Harden going forward. He needs a little help, like some have said I don't think we should be taking THAT much from him, but a little would help.
