    Clutch,

I was listening this morning to John and Lance before I got to work and John states that Morey is looking for a big. Can you confirm this with him or do you have any knowledge?

I would think if they were looking for someone, it would be more for scoring than help on the boards/blocks.

I haven't heard anything new in the last day or two related to that, but I'm sure that's been the case for a while. The Rockets had talks about Stoudemire at last year's deadline and in the summer... I know some don't believe that, but it's true -- the Houston Chronicle's Richard Justice has talked about this a few times on air. In the summer when we first posted that here, many people thought it was crazy -- but remember, the Rockets were hiding the severity of Yao's injury (revealed in the next week or two by Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski). I'm not saying they're pursuing him now (I have not heard that and I'm guessing they're thinking younger now), but I think they know they need a big man who can slide to 5 if Yao goes down. I put a starting two-guard and a bigger 4/5 (preferably a shotblocker) as their two biggest needs.

    I'm sure it's a pipe dream but...

Iggy and Dalembert fit that bill. I know Dalembert has an undesirable contract but as much as I like Chuck I think Dalembert would be a big big upgrade.

    Perhaps you could/should address: Timing.

I believe timing is becoming a factor for teams like the 6ers because as the calendar creeps closer to the 18th more and more 'bigs' are 'out there', in rumor if not in fact:

Dalembaert, Brand, Camby, Jefferson, Bosh, Amar'e, Boozer, JO'N, Ziggy, Murphy, Foster, TThomas, Jamison, Thabeet, Bynum ... and more, no doubt.

It is going to be more difficult to get a team's attention if you are the one really really wanting to get pieces exchanged.

For example, the 6ers ainta gonna move their two bigs when the others are out there, so - from a timing perspective they need to ratchet up their trade intensity to engage DM the GM, Cuban or someone else. If they are going to want to avoid striking out they have to consider sweetening their bids IMHO.

Clutch, do you see DM forcing a lineup change in the near future?

How does the team justify running 2 on 5 on offense to start every game and not think there is an issue?

This "defensive" lineup isn't playing defense either.

Double Aaron and play physical with Luis and you shut down the Rockets offense until Kyle and Carl get into the game...

Tiago Splitter? Age is now a factor?, ie won't go after someone like Nash if he's available?

Good to hear they're planning to start Chase due to his shooting percentage from the field and 3pt-line both. Good stat overall, 45% and 42% respectively. Pretty remarkable given we're struggling offensively.

If anyone could post a recap we'd appreciate it.

My workplace blocks a lot of podcasts. :(

Slow playing it is going to work out for the team in the long run. DM has high hopes that something great comes to the Rockets. Something better than what Philly and others are throwing at us now.

It just stinks that the guys are playing like they feel they are gone as well and aren't giving their best efforts.

Dunno, apparently not someone in the organization, I was just tuning in and captured that part saying that start C-Bud because he's the one who performed well on the court despite other Rockets continue the slump in shooting.

I believe clutch said they could look in that direction if so desired, but not that they would

Yeah agreed, It's been a tough go for the team. I'm not convinced something will get done with Mac though. But you are right, patience
