ClutchFans on 1560am - 2009-10 season (Next: 4/16/2010 @ 1:15pm)

All I wanna know about is what we can get for the guy? - talk about all of the trade possibilities/strategies. This is Morey's chance to work his magic and improve the Rockets for this season and moving forward. And, as most on CF, I have much faith in the man.

Morey has clearly stated in the past that he wants another all-star caliber player for tmc. I wouldn't mind having Martin (SAC), Randolph (GSW), Camby (LAC) or more wishfully,Paul (NOH). But, as others have stated, we'll probably have to take a bad contract back with any of those players. In which case, we must get a 1st round pick back.

And, we may have to give up one or two of these guys in the process; Brooks, Scola, Battier or Landry. I do not want to trade Landry at all, though.

I would like this trade to happen sooner, rather than later, but Morey will probably wait 'til the trading deadline because he will be taking bids from suitors from now until He pulls the trigger on the trade. Morey will not accept either of the bad contracts from New York. That is never going to happen.

It is likely that when a trade finally does happen, it will involve more than two teams, we will get a very good shooter, a bad contract, a draft pick and a bitter sweet loss of one or two of our currently coveted Rockets. I just can't wait to find out what happens!

 

Do you expect this to play out til the deadline? When might you expect something to happen? There is no need to rush things imo since McGrady is in Chicago now and out of the picture but just curious..

HE HAS SHOWN HIS ABILLITY TO ADAPT IN THE GAMES HE HAS PLAYED THIS SEASON. HE HAS SHOWN THAT HIS SPEED IS ALMOST THE WAY IT USED TO BE AND HIS DEFENSE HAS GOTTEN BETTER. ANY PLAYER HAVING TO ADAPT THEIR GAME TO A NEW STYLE WILL ALWAYS STRUGGLE. EVEN THE GREAT KOBE BRYANT!!!!
WHEN THE ROCKET START TO SHOW THIER TRUE COLORS, START LOSING GAMES, THEY WILL THEN REALIZE WHAT THEY DID WRONG.

Its all a cycle, Ive seen it over, and over, and over. Star leaves, goes on to win like 3 championships.

But, he is a distraction now.
If the ROX could let Hakeem go, then they can trade anyone.

We will have to just sit and listen to another disgruntled superstar dissing us on TNT.

TMAC, Kenny, Charles - all ex Rockets that will just hate on us for the next 2 decades.

 

Who are you talking about? Hakeem? Pippen? Francis? The only guy the Rockets ever traded that won three championships was Robert Horry, and he got traded from TWO championship teams. Wouldn't exactly call him a star.

If TMac ever humiliates the Rockets by winning a championship (HA! Yeah right), I tell you what. IT'S ON ME.

Kenny is a little B**ch. he rarely sticks up for us. If T-mac ever joined TNT Kenny would switch his opinion sooo fast so he doesn't look bad.

Then there would be 3 of'em- Charles high 5'in With t-mac about a rockets loss. the idea of it makes me sick.

 

haha.. why does it matter what they say.. just mute it when they talk, most of there talks include ragging on different teams. Charles said we would be the WORST team this year... with like 12 wins... look how that turned out lol.

 

Why do you guys want to trade tmac now or wanting a deal to be done in seconds?

Look at the bigger picture and stop jumping to the conclusion.

1. No matter what we are going to do, this year is a "development" year for our young players. No trade would get us the championship. so stop dreaming of an improvement.

2. If you are thinking about improvement for the future then WTF you wanted a trade now? The biggest FA this summer is where you will and can build your future around.

3. Cap room? we are not the only team facing this unknown possibility. With the economy slowly heading toward brighter side. Plus, no one knows for now what the cap situation for next year be. However, we got the biggest expiring contract before the biggest FA summer is sure going to yield some very interesting conversations.

4. no championship team is going to want Tmac or have the capability to do so, unless we buyout Tmac's contract. Which that would be a stupid thing to do, unless Tmac willing to cut millions off his salary.

5. Bottom feeders like the clippers, gizzlies, or the bobcats alike is not willing to take on Tmac. Because what are they going to have a big cap space for? NO wellworth big FA is going to be there anyway. Beside they probably have enough cap space anyway.

6. Knicks, warriors, kings, Hornets...etc. these are teams that is not going to make the playoffs anytime soon. They are either looking forward to the FA or trying to get something for their stars.

So, what should Morey do?
I think one thing only. Is to wait for the right piece to come knocking on our door. don't take any long stupid contract in return. Besides, we are as good if not better than most teams out there in order to score one of those big names FA.

Why can't we compete with anyone for Lebron, Wade, CP3, or Bosh?
lebron may be the least that would beenfit from playing alongside with Yao, having a top grade Head Coach, hard working teammates, or in a big market.

However, Wade, CP3, or Bosh? they all can benefit from these.

 

Hate to burst your bubble, but you were watching too many tapes of Tmac playing with the Magic.
