    You aren't going to bring Mike Miller in to be a nine million dollar bench guy. You bring him in to replace Shane in the starters role. No doubt Scola is the man to have, but if Memphis puts a good deal on the table with Miller you are going to look at it. Unless Scola becomes all-star caliber, your not going be able to use him to bring in all-star caliber.

    What's Landry's age? I don't expect him to be great on the dribble, but he is athletic and you can work on post moves to get better. Talent wise, he has the ability to become better, but like all rookie's you are taking a chance between great and bust. As far as post moves and dribbling skills, he isn't going to be expected to do that as much as make the mid range jump shot to help Yao.

    Really? Wow, I expected him to be younger for a rookie coming straight out of college like 22 or 23.

    Trading a starting pf for a wing player is one step forward one step backward. Makes not much sense.

    Now that I've read all the replies, I see once again the rox are overvaluing a player that has maxes his potential in scola. Everyone know I'm not a fan of miller, but if I could turn scola and filler into miller, I wouldn't have hung up the phone.

    I've read all these posters cry about getting miller, but when the grizz asked for scola, now the price is too high. People want to overblow the record while he was starting. The 4 spot was terrible so any improvement was helpful. People think I'm wrong and next yr if I am i'll be the 1st to come and take all the name calling and heat. I personally don't think scola is going to get anything but marginally better. At 28 yrs old and being limited atheletically will do that to a player.

    Scola will always have trouble with the longer 4 's in the league. His arms aren't going to get longer nor will his explosion of the ground get better. I will say his ft's and midrange can get better through work. I appreciate how hard he plays, but ur suppose to play hard. U can put a atheletic guy like chris wilcox to play with mcgrady and you'll get the same results. I think miller has plateaued also, but he is still a better player than scola. the rox could have had miller and they could have signed pj brown like I suggested in november and this team would be fighting the lakers right now.

    I would consider the deal if Mike Miller hadn't played with Tracy Mcgrady previously. The issue is Mike Miller isn't really a winner in any sense of the word, despite his skill set, while Luis Scola is full of heart and know what it's like to tangle on the big stage. I just don't see Mike Miller in the same league as Scola when we can likely find a shooter elsewhere that can fit our needs without giving up one of our big pieces.

    Wow, so he's maxed his ability after just one year in the NBA? Really half a year. I see potential for a 15 and 8 guy, which is probably more than you are going to get from Miller.

    Just say no to Mike Miller - especially for Scola. The PF position is set for 5-7 years with Scola and Landry so don't do anything to change that. Say yes to Ron Artest. Give them Battier, Brooks, BJax's expiring contract, and 1st Rd Draft Pick. Then go after Pietrus or a swingman with the MLE.

    Do you think that's giving up too much? I think it's worth it for Artest as long as you can sign him to an extension. You're not gonna be able to get him by offering scrubs and expiring contracts alone.

    Do you know only one year contract left for Artest? Actually, he can opt out this summer. On other words, we can get him for nothing.

    Unbelievable...
    As much as I like Miller, I wouldnt even remotely think about giving up Scola.

    No deal, no.

    scola plays better defense than landry and scola's an ordinary defender.

    landry = easy layups.

    Wow, for a guy who bragged about his basketball knowledge doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. For a guy who's been downplaying Yao's important on this team and talk smack about him and now is doing the same to Scola, who's only play his first season in the NBA.

    You should take a good look at some of the good International players and their first season in the NBA. How stupid are the Rockets to pick up a piece of the puzzle just to give it away the very next year? Why not keep that piece of the puzzle and find another piece?

    That won't depend on how much the rockets give the kings!
