Agree. No way I would want that deal. There are other players for the Rocks I'd toss in there. Just about anyone not named Yao, Tracy, Scola, and Landry, in fact. Why should we do Memphis any favors? We already gave them too good a deal with the Battier/Gay trade. The Rocks should have at least recieved a 2nd round pick. Guess I shouldn't bring up an old fuss. ;)

We didn't have a quality PF for years before Scola, no offense to Chuck. I'd say that position has been weaker than our PG position all truth be told. There's no reason to give up our starting PF for a backup, scoring wing. Take contracts into account and the deal looks even worse. Hopefully we can get Artest or Maggette instead.

Trade Head, BJax, and Loren Woods and our 1st round draft pick for Miller.

You can add Chuck Hayes to the list as well.

I don't really get how people say he can defend, but every single game he just ends up fouling someone.

To be more reasonable then, trade our ENTIRE bench except Brooks, Francis, Landry, and Landry for Miller.

If we can keep Novak as well, that will be great.

Thank goodness management had the sense not to do something like that and I sure hope that they won't do anything like that again. I also feel that the Kings were asking for a similar deal for Artest too. They have been looking for a PF since SAR and KT got injured. I wouldn't give Luis for Ron either even though Artest is a better player. He could blow up and we would be weaker at the 4, Landry isn't ready to be a starter either.

    No thanks.

I must have missed the part where Mike Miller was a top 10 player in the league.

With the multiple expiring contracts and tradeable assets, I say wait until the deadline for a big deal (a la Pau Gasol) for less.

I don't know if we could do a Pau Gasol type of deal, but I do agree that if the Rockets succeed in getting a valuable player in a trade it is going to be around the trading deadline.

Miller would be a huge upgrade over Head at the 2!

No thanks. We've been looking for stability at the power forward spot for years, and now we have a great looking rotation...which consists of ROOKIES! the future is bright at that spot.

Mike Miller sounded real good when we thought we could steal him, but if that's what the Grizzlies are asking for, they can go back to their caves.

Mike Miller would either come off the bench or send Battie off the bench. I'm not willing to part with a starter in Scola, now am I willing to part with energy off the bench in Landry.

If you put Scola at the 2, he would be an upgrade over Luther

Miller would be huge, period! We just shouldn't get raped getting him, or screw up our PF situation, which has been driving us all crazy for years. How long has it been since we could look at that spot and feel like we could at least compete with anyone? Seems like forever. I would hate to see Landry go, as well.

Miller is the expensive version of Head if you look at his playoffs record.

No one is denying that but we can't afford to get weaker at the 4 spot either. Landry is coming off an injury as well and isn't as refined as Luis. We need Scola and Landry at the 4.

That is interesting. Honestly, it doesn't make sense to me. Landry makes more sense than Scola to me, because he's 3 years younger. I just don't know why a team in rebuilding mode would want a 27 year old Scola. I know 27 isn't over the hill, but youth and potential are what rebuilding teams are usually looking for.

I'd give them Landry. His knees scare me. I wouldn't give them Scola.
