Robinson may have a higher ceiling than Matthews, but he also has a lower floor. Matthews is more polished than Robinson. Matthews as of now is the better pass blocker. AND AAAANNNDD Matt Schaub is my QB.

Sure... But neither one of those teams have a 1st round pick so it will be hard for you guys to dog me out over which choice I make... Lol... Or those the only two teams available...?

I was late to the party :( But you see how much more interesting this thread is when people discuss on why they drafted a player... You will never have a super hero without a villain ;)

Yeah those are the only two available.

I agree, I would like to see more reasoning behind people's decisions.

I heard Matthews has short arms and may end up being a better center than tackle. Plus Johnny was his quarterback and Johnny doesn't spend much time in the pocket so it's really hard to judge his pass blocking ability. Jacksonville is figuring that out now with Joeckel.

    Matt Schaub... Lol...

Yeah, they need help in both areas ....And Hasean IS worthy of a very high pick....one of those rare safeties who is a lock to go in the top 15 -20 picks....impact player w/ the Alabama pedigree..should see the Pro Bowl a few times.

I felt like I gave a good enough enough explanation as to why I chose Teddy over Clowney. Whether its right or wrong in real life is up to the Texans to figure out. But here that's my pick to make and regardless of who did or didn't like it I made my pick.

I wasn't referring to you, I actually thought that the top of the draft did a pretty good job of explaining their picks.

Actually Flash I didn't say you made a bad decision choosing Teddy over Clowney... I said you "possibly" selected the wrong quarterback. But you possibly could have selected the right one. We'll know a year from now.

Thats the problem. We won't know in a year.

More than likely whatever QB the Texans select he will be groomed for at least the first year on the bench.

So we probably won't know if we made the right decision on our new QB for another 2-3 years.

While most guys like Clowney, Robsinon, Watkins, and Mack will start from jump. It'll take much more time to evaluate this draft than you all anticipate.

With the 18th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select...

    Darqueze Dennard, Cornerback, Michigan State

I was debating between wide receiver and cornerback, as both are big needs for the Jets. Dennard, though, was just too good to pass up on; he was absolutely stellar at Michigan State last season. His main weakness was believed to be average athleticism, but he disproved that with his performance at the Combine. He has true shutdown corner potential, and I think he can be much better than Dee Miliner, who the Jets drafted last year.

Plus, this shores up Rex Ryan's defense even more, which is already loaded with young talent. I envision a Seattle-type team for them in the future.

Passing on a receiver was tough, but this is a deep draft for them, and I should be able to pick up a decent one in the second round.
