Baltimore Ravens selects Cody Latimer out of Indiana. A big strong WR with excellent speed for his size. Still a bit raw. But his upside is tremendous.
Guys like Dion Bailey, Trent Murphy, Christian Jones, and a couple of other players that have been drafted in this 3rd round are reasons I believe a team can draft a quarterback in the 1st round who isn't ready to play. Dion and Trent are just as good (if not better) than other players drafted before them.
Tough decision.... but with the 80th pick the New York Jets select... Carl Bradford, Outside Linebacker, Arizona State The Jets bolster their already dangerous defense by adding the explosive Bradford to a front that includes Sheldon Richardson, Muhammad Wilkerson, Demario Davis and Quinton Coples. If Bradford can take advantage of his athleticism and be effective as a day-1 starter, then the Jets could really luck out. Their front-7 would be extremely difficult to block (especially when they blitz, which they do a lot), and this would certainly help out the young, developing secondary players get their bearings in the NFL. Miami Dolphins/BIG-Tnguyen on the clock
My biggest mistake so far has been reaching to cover the C need with 2-29 and not meeting the need at safety (using that pick for either Bailey or Brooks). Not that C isn't a position of need (and Richburg is a good prospect), but the safety draft well is perhaps the shallowest in this draft, and even if someone had snagged Richburg (and not likely) by 3-13, there are three other decent C prospect still available (Martin, Swanson, and Stork). That all said... who knows what any of these draftees will do? I am pretty sure Cooks will be an impact player, and McGill and Richburg seem to address needs. Heck, Sutton may turn out to be a monster. But if I had to question any of my earlier moves...
Obviously, we have folks who haven't been making picks for some time now.... What would you guys think if from here through the 4th/end of our draft....we make a one hour limit from the previous pick?
McGill can play safety as well. He's going in the draft as a corner because he ran a faster 40 time than people expected.
With the 81st pick, the Dolphins select..... BISHOP SANKEY - RB WASHINGTON BEARS/vstexas09 on the clock 1 hour limit
With the 82nd pick, the Chicago Bears select...... EGO FERGUSON - DT LSU 83/Browns/Joshfast on the clock
You think Chris Borland would be a good pick, Plowman? Or maybe one of the other LBs available. They lost D'Qwell and the Browns have gone offense their first 2 picks.
Hey there FLASH, I agree with you on taking an ILB ...Borland sounds good. Go ahead and make the pick.
With the 83rd pick, the Browns select ..... CHRIS BORLAND - ILB WISCONSIN 84/Arizona /whagoo on the clock
