Manny, I'm glad you're on the mend and seem to be better. Getting a 2nd chance at life doesn't happen to most people, and I'm glad it's happened to you.

On a somewhat related note....I have to say that if I ever get in a car accident and a CF thread is started to let the bbs know.....this is EXACTLY how I would want the thread to go down.

So I am about 4 days late but it took me awhile to find the email with my new password. :(

But it has now been over 2 years since I had this horrible accident. I still think about various things that happened that day. However, the hardest part is realizing that I blacked out after I lost control of my car. I don't know how long I was unconscious but it is like my body went into a state of shock.

I read through the whole thread again and was reminded of what a great community of people we have here in clutchfans. Thanks for helping me to get through this.

Maybe blacking out was the best thing, since your body goes limp. Kind of like drunk drivers.

Manny, how are you doing with the aftermath, physically? Do you feel back to 80% pre-accident, or just ... whatever you want to share.

Hope you are well. But not #bewell, if you feel me.

This place wouldn't be the same without you and your ardent love of music, Manny. Thank goodness you made it through this. I hope you don't have chronic pain long after that terrible accident. I still do several years after a pickup driven by an idiot "in a hurry to get to Target" (his words, the *******) ran a red light and hit the front end of my Honda van doing 60. I'm very lucky to be here. We have that in common. :)-

Glad you feeling better Manny!

First time hearing, God bless and best wishes. Could've killed many times behind the wheel. Scary stuff.

I hear you guys. I had my own brush with death last year. I posted about it here:

    That was my fault though.

I cannot make a fist with my left hand. I also can't snap my fingers with my left hand. Thank God I can type though and that I am right-handed. I was pretty lax about not continuing the exercises after my therapy was over. The left side of my body is still weak but I can build it up if I ever get around to doing it.

Damn, I was distraught thinking this just happened.

Glad it's in the past Manny. Hope you continue to heal and get stronger.

If I could help light a fire under your left butt cheek to get going, like, NOW, please allow me to do so. (Extends lighter).

Seriously, the longer you wait on that stuff, the stiffer and more difficult it will be to get everything back in shape. Your body is ready, ... for more PT! :)
