Definitely glad you made it through the accident. I know how difficult and painful rehab can be, but trust me it's worth it.

Yea, I know. The plan is to go back to my surgeon around the middle of next month and have another x-ray done. They did say that it could be a shadow so it was definitely inconclusive if it was a gap. I think they told me that to prepare me for the worst case scenario. I have complete trust and faith in them to perform this but obviously want to avoid it at all costs.

I take it you meant "better" instead of what I bolded, but anyway, it will get better - just got to keep believing.

I had to take anti-depressants (Lexapro) starting last summer. I tried to quit cold turkey recently and found that was a big mistake. I have below average levels of serotonin which is the reason for taking Lexapro.

My dad has a scar.

 

Wow dude, sounds like you've been through terrible times the last couple of years. It's cool that you sound so positive about it; I wish I could be so positive. You're my new inspiration!

how did your doctor figure out that you had low serotonin?

 

Previous history with depression but no brain scans or anything like that.

 

So today is my one year anniversary of this accident. I want to thank ALMOST all of you for thinking about me and keeping me in your prayers. I still have scars and always will from this but at least I still have my life and I am so thankful for that.

 

Just the first year of many many more Manny !

I'm glad you're alive and kicking, Manny. Are you improving from your antidepressant treatment?

It takes a while to kick in and needs a bit of counseling, some of which seems like a waste of time until you and your counselor understand each other.

I didn't go anywhere near what you did but I had major surgery last September to have C5-C6 Spinal fusion surgery in my neck. It's a tough road to hoe at times having to deal with rehab, pain and every day life. You are still around to tell the story and to inspire others to work through adversity that comes with life.
