Playing 2k, makes me sad b/c the NBA is at a point where all these All-time greats are getting old and gonna be retiring and you look around the NBA and you ask your self if all these young guys are really gonna be All-time greats eventually. NBA is not gonna be the same a few years down the road.

Were not getting Dwight or Deron. I gave up that dream a while ago. Were just going to remain mediocre-middle of the pack at best for the next 3-5 years probably. Sad. Watch teams like the Spurs who continue to compete(were first seed last year) all while getting old-they will have 1 terrible year when Duncan retires and draft their next superstar the next year. You just know it's going to happen.

At this point i would trade the house for a guy like Paul George and hope he breaks out like a T-Mac after leaving Toronto. If not, screw it. Suck till you draft your future star.

Go read Bill Simmons' predictions on who makes the Olympics in 2012. Deron Williams isn't on his list(s). The answer is neither.

Nets getting blown out by the Pistons. Is Deron mailing it in or should we be worried if he's a FA/trade target?

He still put up quite a bit of production. 34 points and 7 assists on 47 percent shooting isn't bad.

If Deron is going to cost Lowry + Patterson, do you still do it?

The Nets are not going to be interested in any trade for DWill until the truth unfolds about Dwight. If Dwight is traded to a team that he likes, that has capspace to sign DWill outright after the season, THEN NJ will deal DWill in a hot second to the highest bidder.

And that very well could be us. Thing is...would he resign? Probably not... with out current group. The trade i mentioned in the random trade thread goes a long with this possibility perfectly, if you were NJ would you trade dwill ( in that situation ) for Kmart, dragic, patterson, flynn, Lakers TPE and the knicks and lakers 2012 first round pick?

I don't know where you got that mess from.

Doesn't matter about New Jersey. What matters is whether or not Orlando is going to trade Dwight on March 15. And if they are going to trade Dwight, then you let them pick whatever they want off our roster so long as we still have cap space to sign DWill outright in the offseason and they leave us just enough assets to convince NJ to trade him to us rather than losing him for nothing.

If Dwight were traded here with our team set up with cap space and enough talent to rebalance/reshape our roster, then the heat is on in NJ. They would likely take a couple picks, Goran, and expirings just to get some value for Dwight and hopefully catch lightning in a bottle with Goran the same way that the Knicks are doing with Lin.

I simply can't see Orlando not trading Dwight on March 15, unless Dwight agrees to extend. He's made it clear he's walking to NJ. That's not a threat. He wants 3 basic things....1. to play with another top-tier perimeter player in his age group (DWill/CP3); 2. to be in a situation to compete for championships on a regular basis; 3. to be able to make the most money possible

Well, he can make up the $30 million he's gonna lose through endorsements in NJ but he's also got the state income tax to deal with and the higher cost of living. And besides, if that Russian fella gets elected president of Russia, what do you think happens to the basketball team? That's a lot of unknowns, and a lot of dough to make up the difference between what Orlando or Houston or some other team can offer him that has no sales tax and has his Bird's rights.

You can gripe about this team not having a superstar. Believe me, I have done plenty of that. But a couple things are certain here: 1. We have an owner that wants to WIN and WIN BIG! 2. We have a top notch front office that has proven themselves experts at acquiring top talent.

Yes, they are experts at talent evaluation and making good deals and getting out of bad deals quickly. We have an excellent front office.

Orlando really can't take the risk of Dwight walking away. The rest of their roster is stinky to mediocre at best. Without Dwight, they are a 20 win team next season. They can't afford to not trade him for best value. They're gonnna have a final meeting somewhere around the middle of March to try to convince Dwight to sign an extension or agree to at least stay there for one more season. And if he doesn't agree, they are going to trade him off for the best deal they can find.

Where are they going to find that deal?

Your Jopatmc. Morey sorta hinted in his last interview on 610, that they everyone has moves on hold till the March 15th deadline, which most likely means everyone is waiting to see what happens with Dwight, then all the pieces will start to fall.

The Rockets, like alot of teams in the mix just have a series of contengency plans mapped out in case this or that happens. It they are going to consider moving Lowry for Dwill or anyone else, you best believe its based on hours and hours of thoughts and good reasoning.

If its Lowry for DWill straight up.... thats a tough one.

In a heartbeat. I would give up Lowry, Patterson, and Morris for that matter.

That's exactly right. No major deals are going to go down until the Dwight situation is resolved.

The crazy thing is if Orlando decides to do nothing, they may actually stop many of the other possible moves that teams want to make because they hold out until the deadline to make moves.

The interesting thing for our team is what Morey does with our team if/when he figures out Orlando isn't going to trade Dwight until possibly the offseason. I suspect he's already got deal(s) in the bag to upgrade our "assets" to be more attractive to Orlando, Dwight, and Dwill this offseason.

I honestly feel that if we trade Lowry+Scola/Patterson+maybe Martin, we would probably only be a few wins better through the whole season. It might put us on the map for Dwight, and that would make us contenders. If we only get one or the other we will probably only be a little bit better.

Deron in his best seasons are half a tier above Kyle.... but not now.... He is playing average ....still being an allstar somehow but it is very close now.......

I don't know about that....the league has to spread some reputation of Kyle.....before they can give it to Deron
