so you don't think this is the biggest game of the year... so you don't think clutch is trolling lin fans (he said he was)... at this point i would care more about whether the players are ready and at 100% then what some lin fans think but that's just me...

I don't know who this person is, but his tweet pin the point.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>.<a href="https://twitter.com/clutchfans">@clutchfans</a> it's not about ripping Lin when he struggles, that's fair. It's the backhanded compliments when he is doing well.</p>&mdash; Ronald Teddy Rover (@ReaganNotTeabag) <a href="https://twitter.com/ReaganNotTeabag/statuses/462319068091924480">May 2, 2014</a></blockquote>

I truly don't understand the moderator's intention in setting up the trap, and doing all this, after an important Game 5 win, and before an even more important Game 6.

Is that consider true rockets fan?

If he set up the poll before game 5, I would not be happy, but I would still take it.

I am pretty sure going on Clutchfans is not at the top of the To-Do list for the players at this moment. If it is then we should just call to get the Game 7 tickets refunded now.

No, he had this post in mind already when he put up his thread already, that's why he called it a trap.

while it was clever, its clearly very immature of the OP. Its so dumb to have this assignment of XOF/XOH to begin with and now to add to the fire the moderator joins in on the arguement. thats actually stupid.

    NOT impressed

If I cared so much about negative rep people have about this website, then why am I still here? Just because people don't understand exactly what goes on doesn't mean you should totally ignore it. It makes us Rockets fans look like crap.

This is exactly what Clutch is talking about and what those of us who have been around for awhile have been railing against - you are manipulating/inventing facts to prop Lin up as something above this team. He's not the only player to come out and say that he needs to perform better:

    http://www.csnhouston.com/basketball-houston-rockets/talk/harden-knows-he-needs-improve-game-3

Lin is great guy and an average basketball talent with terrible fans. Its frustrating for fans who have followed this forum and team for over a decade watch every conversation devolve into b****festival because you guys can't handle a little criticism of your favorite player (although your favorite player seems to handle very well himself).

If this experiment ruins your game 6 experience, you should truly step back and evaluate the situation.

Its about perspective, from my perspective the toxic fan base are the Lin fans. This site had its negativity and idiotic posts before the Lin army got here, as all sports forums do, but it just turned to **** once they got here. People blaming the "LOH" is like an invading army getting upset with the tactics of the rebels. War is an ugly business.

Again, why are you so concerned with how people look at us? The only two incidents that I would say made me feel ashamed and embarrassed as a Houston sports fan was when Yao got ambushed by those three guys and the time someone thought it was genius to go to Schaub's house.

Other than that, why care about what Joe Shmoe in Des Moines say about Rockets fans? Are you that insecure that you need acceptance from the masses of strangers on the internet so you can sleep better at night?

If it was just LoF vs LoH, who cares. Children on the internet, Clutch included, having slapfights that no one cares about. But the guy's getting booed at home, which is inexcusable. You do not boo someone you want to succeed. Rockets fans would rather Lin have a bad game than win this series.

OMFG - that is possibly the best thing ever - what a great idea - to show the lunacy of some of the Lin fans.

I have often ask why they make so many excuses for him when he doesn't do that himself?

The only thing funnier than allowing the Lin crazies to hang themselves in the first thread is seeing them show up here to continue hanging themselves in the second thread. It's like The Godfather of threads... is part one better than part two or vice versa. Clutch is the Godfather and the Lin crazies are Fredo.

Thank you. Was just about to point out that infact Harden HAS owned up to his crap performance. I don't know why there are so many people around here who post things without checking the facts/stats first. It's not difficult to do and when you consistently post factual information, other people are going to be more open to your viewpoint.

Lin, being Asian, was just being modest in his statement. He was holding down by coaches and he performed decently. Not spectacular but decent. He likes to take blames, but he forgets nice guy finishes last.

So basically both sides are troll baiters. Except one us disguised as a site moderator.

I'd remove the word "only" for consistency. Sure, that's a viable statement then. Not sure if it is true, but sounds quite plausible. Was that merely a statement of fact, or is there an underlying implication being made?
