Exactly what I expected, a taller Jesus Shuttlesworth with all nba defense. Now we get a real test with the raptors because their coach will treat the game like game 7 of the finals. perfect timing

Looks great other than the two ugly drives to the rim.

He seems as advertised, a high floor 3 and D power forward.

JSJ is going to have a nice long productive NBA career, however I have a hard time imagining him as anything more than the third best player on a championship team.

Smith looks like a foundation piece already. If he wants to go ahead and be an efficient 20/10 guy who absolutely intimidates folks as a defender, I'll allow it. Add in a Jalen Green fulfilling draft reports and becoming a 30ppg scorer and you've got a start of a champion.

The not so good part was that old Ego got 16 minutes in an otherwise meaningless preseason game.

The devil is in the detail, that detail does not spell cleverness.

    Building chemistry methinks.

EGo is better option at starting 3 than Tate imo.

Because we all know Silas has to be dragged over broken shards of glass kicking and screaming before he even thinks of starting TWO rooks. We saw that last season.

Nah this place is still in the "dick measuring and off season ego stroking" portion of the fun!

Jabari was player of the game - his intensity propelled the whole team forward, and it did not hurt that he was on fire from the outside. His Kevin Garnett-like energy really seemed to invigorate everyone on the court.

One thing I noticed though, is that the team seemed to look better with Fernando at center, instead of Sengun. The verticality and athleticism really appeared to opened up things for our guards, so it'll be interesting to see if this continues and if we eventually go with Sengun as 6th man to run the second unit. Whatever the case may be, we will probably have a lot of options when it comes to how to beat team defenses, since theoretically, we will be able to score off the bounce, in transition, in the post and in any type of pick and rolls/pop setup.

Very excited about the future of our Rockets, finally...

I mentioned this before, but he reminds me exactly like a slightly lengthier better defending version of Rashard Lewis. Is he going to be the #1 scorer on a contending team? No. But we don't need 4 shot creators on the floor at all times. It's hard to find versatile guys that can defend, shoot the ball well, and put up 20+ PPG. I hope that's Jabari.

I really hope this game shows we are really ready to start playing.
130+ points without an offense while keeping the opponent under 100, is more than impressive. The Spurs are still an NBA team. I truly thank Silas for Green & Smith. I don’t think he will be able to govern back this team for a top 5 pick. I still don’t think we have seen the full Silas show either. We have 9+ rotation worthy players and a coach with something to prove that has been away from the team (Covid). Lots of moving prices for sure. Rotations will be the tell, tell of the organization’s goals.
Porter, Green, Gordon, Smith, & Bruno. Then Sengun leads the second unit with Eason, Martin, with Christopher & Washington. This will blow out most other teams because of lack of depth. Then just finish with the hottest player / mismatch that night.

There is a lot more than just a basketball game going on. The front office will need to a decision on the direction of the franchise that will effect it for years to come. Is Sengun, Eason & Porter (if signed) along with the big free agent (signing) going to be enough when paired with Smith & Green?
