Neither do you, but if you're thinking he's going to accept less than what he's making now, which is $22 mln. Then once again, you're sadly mistaken!

I'm not the one assuming I know like someone else here. Throw whatever numbers you want out there. At the end of the day its a 100% complete guess.

Who would we rather have? He may not be Dwight Howard all NBA, but there is little to nothing out there at the Center position, and if u think we have a rebounding problem now, imagine if no Dwight. He's still one of the best Centers. He will want to be paid for the quality he provides at the position, and he will indeed be overpaid, but it is what it is.

I would much rather have Demarcus Cousins because he's far more of a "Moreyball" player and is way more compatible with Harden since he can shoot jumpers.

That said, Dwight is on an impressive run of elite play right now.

If we keep Dwight we gotta get rid of Harden and get a guy who is ready to go for a championship now. Harden is still growing up and the way Houston fans are acting he might want to leave soon anyway. Plus they just have no chemistry together.

You gotta really try hard not to cry in this situation. This team has outstanding talent but a really bad problem with Harden's effort. I can't believe there's guys like Ariza, Thorton, and Dwight on a team like this but the coaching is so subpar to reel it all in. Must be some kind of historical record that a team with this much talent has such a poor team/coaching atmosphere. Just a terrible position to be in.

Ariza's and Thorton's effort aren't always there either. Ariza was awful last week. Again it's not just Harden this entire team is inconsistent aside from Dwight lately. But then again Harden went on a hot stretch last month as well.

I agree that if Dwight stays and we pay him max, which is what he is going for, Harden should go. If that's not the case, Dwight should not even want to stay and go where he is used properly and has hard workers around him. I've been critical of Howard, many times even unfairly, but I will really try hard not to do that any more. Dwight has proven himself again this season. I'm very surprised by Morey's comments though, that he doesn't want to flatout say he's going to do whatever it takes to keep him..

Can we get FTW in here to let us know if this is delusional cherry picked stats?

Anywho....last night Dwight joined CWebb as only the 2nd player since 85-86 with at least 36/26.

Webber had a 51/26 in 2001. He took an astonishing 47 shots.
