I'm going to share some info that might be a little controversial but the facts are undisputed as it relates to the Rockets' decision on Murphy.

Les Alexander recently donated $100,000 K to, and then joined the Board of Directors for The Children's Assessment Center. Guess what they do?
It's a non profit, specializing in interviewing and treating childhood victims of sexual abuse.

Was Murphy acquitted? Absolutely. Is "not guilty" the same thing as "innocent" absolutely NOT!! And I think that Alexanders decision coming in close proximity to Murphy's trial cannot be overlooked as mere happenstance.

Could it be that Alexander is merely managing Public Relations? Of course. However, I'm guessing he has made some kind of "moral" judgement about what transpired (or allegedly transpired) with Calvin and his kids...

I'll be happy to answer questions about this, but I want everyone to understand that I offer this only as "perspective" and that I personally wanted Calvin back on the broadcast team very badly!!

    peace

Innocent ti'l proven guilty, Calvin Murphy was not proven guilty like you said, so what does that equal?

Personally I am not a big fan of Drexler. Seems kinda boring to me. Well it's going to be tough watching home games this season. Hopfully the Rockets will be on national TV alot so we can always watch them on TNT or ESPN.

This was actually somewhat surprising since Calvin was NOT GUILTY of anything and the Rockets made it sound like they would bring him back next season. :(

Maybe we can create some press for this by having a bring back Calvin Murphy party. We could invite the chron and some of the TV. Someone should organize this....

Keep the idea alive if you like it. I suck at creating things like this but - I would attend and so would a lot of people.

^^^Just an idea, maybe we can set up something at Live (with Stack's permission of course), have a little petition rally, see if we can invite Murphy to it. Maybe it will attract a few stations to come out. I don't know Stack that well so don't know if this is at all plausible.
