Yea, except no.

I'll give you every breakdown on that play.

Miller setup the high post, Budingers misses his opportunity to bump his guy off Brook's man on a curl. Then both Lee and Budinger missed thier screens on curls and breakaway from thier guys.

Brooks makes the loop and gets the ball with 11 seconds left, with the motion offense broken he runs a pick and roll with Hill. Hill plays too close and allowing both bigs to trap Brooks.

At the same time neither Miller nor Budinger are in set spots for threes. By the time Brooks has drawn the defenders into the paint, neither Miller or Bud can be hit for open threes. The lane for a pass to Lee is completely blocked. Hill is too close for a pass and there is 4 seconds left on the shot clock.

Brooks does the only thing he can do in that situation which is force up a high arcing shot.

If I am T.Will, I am thinking why did you guys trade for me just to sit me on the bench?

I think Adelman is just avoiding the inevitable minute/player rotation controversy that will arise when T.Will comes in and starts beasting.

 

Yeah,but Lee should be able to match better with Hinrich's size. I admit AB can do a better job at a passer than him though.

 

i doubt he would get ANY playing time at all if he was being showcased. He's sucking horribly and being on the court reveals that.

 

Far out, these scrub teams are perfect for getting T-Will settled into the team. Aldeman is really starting to get on my nerves with his man crush on Buddinger.

 

What controversy, if T.Will comes in and beasts, then it would be an easy decision to bench Bud's ass..

 

People in the game should boo every time RA puts Bud in. Maybe one of them will get the message that way... That dude doe NOT deserve any PT.

 

take out Budinglerberry for T. Will!!!

Exactly. You can't lose this game if you're trying to prove you are a playoff team.

Stating a fact becomes hate, wow. There was a chance to pass when the 2nd guy closing in and there was still time for AB to dribble out a little in that situation, forcing a high arch shot over two guys was never the right play with 4 seconds left on the clock. Many players can be at fault on that one, but AB certainly didn't make the good decision there. At least he should have kept the dribble alive if he can't see any passing lane. That's why I said he picked up the ball with no purpose. Because once you picked the ball up, you are trapped.

The entire offense looked bad with AB running the point in 2nd quarter, nobody excpet Hill scored points for a long stretch. Don't tell me it has nothing to do with AB the PG.

 

Who was he supposed to pass it too?

 

T Will dosn't know the defensive ,or ofensive rotations yet.

 

This is a game where we need to run the 3 guard set some. With Wall and Heinrich in the game at the same time and the wizards not having a great scoring threat at the 3. A line-up of Lowry, Lee, and Martin would be good to see. Lowry and Lee can D up Wall and Heinrich at the guards and Martin can do his best to defend whoever is at the 3.

Rox are going to have to grind this one out because their offense is MIA.

 

It is apparent that Chase doesn't even know what basketball is.

 

If you got two guys on you and nobody to pass to, don't pick up the ball. Dribble backwards to create space. 4 seconds is not 1 second.

 

Get Hill back in soon, those two guys are too long obviously.
