As of now these are the Rocket rules of shot attempts

Rafer is allowed no more than 10 shots in a game, even if he's 10/10
Yao MUST attempt at least 17 shots, NO EXCEPTIONS
T-Mac MUST attempt at least 17 shots, regardless of how much he's missing
T-Mac is required to touch the ball every possession in the 4th
T-Mac is excluded from the minimum shots ONLY if he has double digit assists

Ouch. I wish I could respond in kind but I don't know which websites carry dungeonmaster cartoons.

Against a visiting Knicks team, not impressed.

Although I think I am about to give up on Alston too, I have to say please keep MJ in your own bedroom please, Sam.

We have VSpan and that's all it matters.

I don't even get this particular insult. So you use 20 sided dice when you pretend to be a dungeonmaster?

Anyways, I'm out. You've verbally bested me through your vast knowledge of games played by socially inept children. I concede defeat.

What a bunch of BS! All you hear is, "JVG sucks, Head sucks, Howard sucks, Rafer sucks, TMac sucks."

In the meantime, the Rockets are 8-4. How does a team with a bad coach and bad players manage a 8-4 record, with 7 road games?

What is really funny is that the same ignorant whiners that complained last year that JVG wouldn't play Head are now attacking their own guy. They will turn on VSpan too. These are not fans, they are pathetic whining kids.

Problem with you is that you are so obsessed with me that you cant even see the obvious!

Rafer + Juwan = Lots of minutes = No Championship for Rockets!

Wake up and smell the Sucksters!

JeopardE excited about Rafer Alston on a night he shot 4-16 and had a whopping 2 assists as a starting PG!!!

LOL! Stop! You are making a fool of yourself!

Good game from Yao I see what the rest of you guys sees yao is taking them to the Second RD of the playoffs atleast ... tonite was a great game for v-span he needs more court time to get comfotable wit team but he looked great no turnovers 10pts off bench thats outstanding Head great Reb off miss free throw... I wish that rox can blow out teams but at the same time atleast there getting wins with poor 4th quaters and that can help us out in the long run..

if they take alston out in the 4th quarter then he won't be on the court to hit those clutch shots, like tonight.

Whining today prevents heartbreaking tomorrow. Seriously, Rox has a problem not knowing how to play clutch.
At present, for the clutch, I'd put Yao, T-mac, V-span, Head and Chuck/battier on the court. Tmac controls ball, drive to the hole or pass to Yao/head/V-span. Alston is unreliable, even he saved himself today. I only forgive him today for the sake of thinksgiving.
We want to win Spurs, not wizards. I'll take the win but expect more wins over hot teams.

Nay, MJ is neither Zhang Fei, nor Zhang He. James is Wei Yan. You know what happened to Wei in the end, right?

why are you even discussing mike james though? its not as if we're going to get him back. instead of trying to assert your 'rafer alston sucks and mike james is the best' position on all of us, why dont you look at some actual trade possibilities? even if he was available though, i still wouldnt really want him on the team.

its not suprising that MJ has better numbers than alston, since he's basically a scorer, thus his vastly superior offensive game. the last few seasons, we saw him break out because of his increased role in his respective teams. in toronto, he was the number 2 scorer because the team was really bad. in minnesota, again a really bad team, they need him to score, so he has the green light. while i am not impressed with alston, i certainly do not think mike james is the answer to our PG problem. we need a distributor (solid, low turnover type of guy) who regularly knocks down open shots. and while MJ might certainly be capable of that, i doubt he'd want to take a lesser role after he's shown that he can score.
