Anybody here STILL think the Rox PG doesn't need to be able to shoot, or that Rafer shoots appreciably less than Mike James?

I will take the W, but I am really upset now.

We deserve to loss. Any decent NBA teams would have killed us in the 4th, stupid Wizards kept shooting J's and missing.

We are not gonna get away with this often!

Rockets are trying to hard, way to hard to justify that Alston-James trade.

Just accept it and move on.

We have better players sitting on bench. Use them.

    Sheesh....

Pfft..why did he have to go redeem himself..just delay his eventual demotion to the bench.

For us to struggle against an imploding team like the Wizards is a big cause for concern. I'm glad we won but it was only because the Wizards are so bad.

Denial on part of Rocket management/ JVG apologists.

That was one of the most bone-headed trades I have been a witness to.

Why the heck would you trade a PG that fits the role on your team for one who does not fit and shoots worse?

Oh and gets abused on defense constantly and seems to lose his head when pressure gets turned on.

Not sure how long we have to go with the justification phase of the trade.

Well, since their 06-07 stats are damn near identical, while Mike James still manages to shoot more while playing 7 minutes less per game, the answer would have to be YES.

Rafer was pathetic tonight. If we lost, he's the donkey we would have pinned the tail on.

There is no good feeling watching TMac play so tentatively. He has to take over in the 4th. What pisses me off, is that I know Tmac can do it too. Remember how clutch he was in 04-05, and even in some early games last yr for us. He is clearly deferring, and it is hurting the team. Why can't he just drive to the hole more, get him at least 20 shots a game, c'mon. JVG is at fault for his stubborn ways, but Tmac really has got to man up and start playing like a superstar. Against any other team, ANY other team we would have lost. Gilbert was ice cold. Why can't we get a comforatable win

Actually, they're not damn near identical, and James is bascially superior in pretty much every single significant category, and they will only get farther apart as the statistical impact of Rafer's "one shining moment" vs. Dallas dissipates.....so, your opinion is...well, crap.

The stats actually aren't the point, though.

The point is this: The Rox PG has to be able to score. Rafer can't score. James CAN score, and score VERY efficiently, by shooting a good percentage and not turning the ball over, not to mention he is not the sieve on defense that Rafer is.

With James - we are a championship contender .... with Alston playing 30+ mpg? We are not.

    TRUTH
