Howard, Head and Alston are all bad defenders.

But he has to earn his playing time. VSpan looks great out there tonight, but there is no guarantee that he will be able to play at this level each and every game. I can recall a number of instances in the past where fans wanted to see a particular player receive more playing time, because said player was effective during his limited time on the court. In several of these cases, the player in question eventually did receive additional minutes, but it soon became obvious that his game had signifcant holes, which other teams were beginning to exploit.

The take-home message is this: there are reasons why bench players are bench players and not starters. Many of them may be able to play effectively for short periods, but given extended minutes, their weaknesses will become obviously enough that other teams will take notice. JVG may be stubborn, but he's no fool. We have to accept that he has his reasons for using the rotation that he does, and leave it at that.

just have to face the facts guys....rockets are not good......if this were to happen in a few games...it'd be flukish....but this is who we are.....no one good enough to step up in 4th.....

 

I really don't want to see Alson shooting the ball in 4th quarter.
