    Preseason basketball isn’t preseason football

And he yelled "Christopher Garuba for three!!!" lol... He can be forgiven I guess, given the unexpectedness of the moment.

Not a lot of preseason games.

So wonder if Silas will continue playing 11-15 rotation, which is unusually long.

MVPs for me this game were Scoot, Goon, and JayGup.
    • Scoot was just fantastic as the driving force on offense. He was hyper efficient with volume though some of his passes were really sloppy like the early TO when he tried to force it to Theis after the penetration inside. I still can't believe Cavs just basically gave up on this kid.
    • Goon just made us better as a lineup every time he was on the floor. His BBIQ is honestly mind bogglingly high for a 19 year old kid. He is almost always in the right place at the right time, which is a big reason why he is able to recover so well.
    • JayGup won us this game. People can call it meaningless as a preseason game, but I absolutely LOVED the heart and initiative he sowed in the 4th. He came in, pushed the tempo and put the Wiz on their heels and our team responded.
Green obviously shot poorly, but I really like how aggressive he was at still trying to score. Overall, this was a pretty bad game for him, but despite that there were a ton of positives that I saw from him tonight.

As a team, we had absolutely atrocious FT shooting (59.5% as a team is unnacceptable) and that 2nd quarter was painful to watch. This is going to be life with a young core though; super high highs and super low lows. If Scoot didn't go absolutely bonkers from 3s along with JayGup in the 4th, our 3pt shooting would have been pretty mediocre as well.

Heads up play for the game, forgot when it was but there was this play where Goon realized he didn't have position for the board and tapped it against the backboard so his opponent couldn't get it either and then secured it. That was unbelievably heads up for a young player!

Anyone know if Khyri is in Silas doghouse?

Kid showed out last season when given minutes due to team ravaged by injuries.

He has more upside than Snipa and Augustin IMO.

I’m super impressed by Scoot’s interviews: deep, thoughtful, serious, manly. As far as our star backcourt of the future we already know the personality dynamics that is setting-in and will likely not change. KPJ is the alpha, JG is the betta. KPJ is Batman JG is Robin. This is Scoot’s team.

    Just like last season.

Silas does not know how to maximize his bigs.
