ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 4/23/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

I think at the most time the Rockets defended Curry not bad. He hit a lot of 3 Pointers in difficult situations. Alpi need to protect the Rim. There was 3 or 4 Positions where Alpi opened the Rim because Draymond Green went outside. He dont need to protect Draymond at this situations and let him open. The Rockets need to play it with big players and attack their Rim. We know that Fred and Jalen are not high percentage 3 Pointers. I think the best way to win this is start with Tari Eason or Jabari Smith for Jalen Green. Jalen can be the Ball handler if Fred be on the Bench. This Team cant carry Fred and Jalen right now.

Players AND coaches need to be much better. If Fred takes the most shots again(barring it being one of those extremely rare 13-for-17 kinda nights), that's on Ime.

- FVV & Jalen please please please don't hoist 3 after 3.
- Ball needs to touch Sengun every offensive possession
- Amen and Jalen need to push the pace and get inside the paint to breakdown the D and stop GS from setting up their half court

 

Remove the ridiculous 2nd Quarter
and the Rockets win by 6

Yes in the NBA Finals. He was thoroughly outcoached. He had Horford playing drop coverage way too long and the Warriors took advantage. I can't remember if Robert Williams was hurt or compromised though.

 

This is what happens when we forget where we came from, that loss hurt so much.... Its so cold, like winter....

Kerr played 10 guys, Ime only 8. Holiday was hot against GSW the whole year, and he could've helped with his 3's. Ime needs to give him some minutes, especially if Fred continues shooting like crap.

Also, get some shots for Jabari, get him involved. If Jalen can't get going (and for now it looks like he can't), give more shots to Jabari. He's the x factor in this series IMO. Good on D and boards, can switch, and when he gets it going he can shoot from anywhere and is clutch. Use him more Ime.

It was great to see Alpi turning it up, and hopefully he continues dominating the Warriors.

 

Think Jalen watching CC kill it last night might be just what he needed. Expecting a big game from him.

I wholeheartedly agree. If they lose tonight they have a very good chance of being swept. Win tonight and you are even. The Rockets played perhaps their worst game of the season on Sunday. Green must prove he is a "prime time" player. Amen will be over the jitters. The team will settle down. But, they must win.

In the last regular season matchup that we won, Holiday and Tate hit some huge 3s in the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th. We got some wide open looks by Dillon, Fred, and Tari that were missed in those same situations in game 1. We can't both miss half our free throws AND brick those wide open 3s.
