I initially thought that Draymond pushed Amen, but this clip shows that's not the case.

I would love to see him blow a fuse and suplex
Draymond. I wouldn’t care how long they suspend him, it would be worth it lol. We are a deep team ;)

They need to show the baseline view TNT was showing. In that one it looked like Adams may have bumped into Amen and caused him to stumble. I thought that one also show Amen trip over Draymond's leg or something. This doesn't show much of that until after the play is almost over.

BTW, even Kerr said the play looked like it was just people jostling for position and unfortunately Butler got the bad end of the deal. He didn't think there was anything nefarious going on. Of course, at that point, he probably also thought Draymond may have caused it all. :D

Draymond didn't push Amen but he inadvertently pulled the chair on him when he pulled his arm back. Amen was crashing hard for the board with forward momentum, met resistance, then kind of had the rug pulled on him. All of that in addition to the other bodies in there definitely threw him off balance.

Bottom line, it wasn't really anyone's fault and Amen definitely didn't do it on purpose.

Hope Jimmy is fine and we get to beat them healthy. Having said that, we all remember CP3's hammy in 2018 so it is what it is.

If I'm being honest, I don't give a **** if Jimmy is fine for this series. If he's injured, then it sucks for them but we went through worse with CP3's hammy. I DO hope that whatever this injury is won't be any issue for Jimmy--but that concern starts AFTER our series :p

I don’t care. They can all think Amen did it on purpose - I hope they do. I hope Butler is out for the series. I hope teams think Amen is dirty and are afraid to go inside against him. Teams need to know when they play the Rockets - it is going to get physical, there will not be easy buckets and they can be hurt for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Did Bay fanboys wash your mind??
I agree that Green did not push Amen, but there was clearly some contact between the two which made Amen to stumble like that. Do you really believe that Amen just charged into Butler like that? This video cut doesn’t shiw the whole picture. You need to see the replay from the moment Amen took the shot. Then you can see that when he landed, his legs came across Green’s legs (unintentionally) which is why he stumbled when he went for that rebound.
Don’t listen to all of the Warriors cry baby fans right now.

That clip is the shortened version. Right before that clip starts it looks like he hip checked Amen hard therefore yeeting him forward.

Both teams goals should be to get Jalen and Curry around the corner and downhill with the ball in hand. The challenge for Curry is that he will be taking twos instead of threes. He hates that. And that will deflate the Warriors offense if done all game. It frustrates them. And Steph will need to attack for free throws. Green on the other hand should be able turn the corner, but he gets a little lost on layups instead of seeking contact. The high pick seems to give him more space to operate in the lane. I expect both teams to attack the same pressure the same way.

Just like the first game wasn’t all doom and gloom, this isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. We seriously flirted way too much in the 3rd and 4th for them to get close, if they make a couple shots, it’s a 5 point game. Now not saying we would lose, but you cannot **** around and find it. Largely it was Brooks, but also FVV & Green who tried to go 1-on-1 and they have to cut that **** out. Good time-out management by Ime though and was glad he stuck with the starters. Some thoughts:

    1. Jalen Green responded, good to see. I’m not suddenly changing my mind on him having the IT factor or that he really turned a corner. Anyone can get hot from 3, but he did have some nice plays out of the gate and came out with something to prove. His fingerprints were all over the first few buckets. Also on defense I saw he could hold his own. However, several points throughout the game did not switch properly and allowed guys to shoot wide open shots. That cannot happen. Also still has that tendency to just go far out, dribble too much and needs that head start so I expect the Warriors to be on him even more. That is something Jalen has a tough time handling, even in this game he just lost his dribble too often. Also let’s see if he can do it on the road.

    2. Sengun had a couple of nice sequences, a very decent game, but also some head scratchers. Mainly when he’s dribbling in traffic he tends to get way too low and loses his balance, his dribble and or his footing. Same like Jabari, bringing the ball low after a rebound or on a post up is just not smart. The Warriors will get in there.

    3. Tari, finally shook off that rust and he was key to pushing things forward in the 2nd quarter. Even if Butler had come back, we were up nearly 20 largely due to our bench keeping it going. He was solid for sure, both ends. However, that towel throw was immature and instead of the fake tough guy act, get in Green’s face instead.

    4. Draymond was again allowed to throw his elbows whenever he wanted, it’s why I didn’t mind Brooks one after falling down and the one Jalen threw. Was disappointed though in Sengun, Amen and Tari. Cannot just let that guy throw elbows at you. Now I’m not saying start a fight, but we showed him way too much respect. I do like how we didn’t let him rattle us, but there’s a balance there. Especially on their home floor, we have to show him we won’t be punked.

    5. Jabari was way too hesitant and got the ball a bit more it seemed. Played okay though.

    6. Adams could not really get many rebounds, at least not like in game 1, but we didn’t need him to. FVV was better on defense than offense and since Green had it going it was fine.

    7. Aaron did not have a good game, forced his shot, and quite frankly I thought we didn’t need him but rather a bigger body when Amen was in foul trouble. Or at least a better defender in Reed.

    8. The referees did a very decent job. No overreaction to Butler’s injury, calling fouls on Green, not calling every single thing and letting them play. Some obvious ones they didn’t call, but both challenges were correct in our guys sticking the leg out, Amen did grab Draymond before thrown to the ground (double foul or non-call if anything imo) and Jalen not getting a flagrant 2.

    9. Crowd was into it in the beginning, but we missed some fire in that 3rd and 4th quarter. We needed to get behind our guys more, stand and just make some freaking noise. It seemed dead for a while there, even when they got back into it. I am personally not a fan of the generic “F — Draymond Green” and rather they do something creative with the donkey or whatever.

    10. Our play-off intro starts off weird, music wise and image wise and not sure what it’s supposed to be, but once the basketball part starts, it’s fire! I loved the new twist on the weather effects and darkening the screen as well as the ball effects. Plus the cinematic music fit to a T. The Rockets players with a flag in space was dope too. Not an explosive ending like usual, but overall very decent.

I expect a much more physical game and a rowdy crowd where referees are intimidated more than here. So we better be ready. If we can steal one, we should be able to win the series.

this angle more shows that dray was boxing out amen with his arm while amen was trying to push through to get the rebound, then dray pulls his arms away while amen still has forward momentum.

Your arm will instinctively extend forward to try and catch yourself. Its just unfortunate that butler was mid air at the time.

Twitter meltdown -- how game 2 was not even a bb game but a fighting match. Lol.

I loved it! Rockets are the most physical team in the NBA.

People are forgetting too that Green had 38 in a 90's era defensive brawl. That's something special.

Yes and another angle showed that Amen tripped because of Adams' foot and then fell forward. Shouldn't be any suspension coming for Amen.

Amen was bumped by Adams and tripped by Draymond.

Warriors fans are some of the dumbest humans in existence.

Basketball isn’t boxing - but it isn’t croquet either. It is meant to be physical- it’s part of the game. A 160 lbs guard shouldn’t have the run of the court without some level of physical punishment.
