I mean you're right, this series won't define his career either way, but I'm a big mentality guy, I'm always talking about mentality, because it's what separates good players from great ones.

I think Jalen is already a good player, he's a fringe all-star player right now which means I could see him making 2-4 all star games throughout his career...but I want great players.

Me giving up on Green is not me trading him though, it's just going forward if there is a good deal for green....well...

But I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope sometime during this series we can say Jalen was the reason we won the series. So, we'll wipe this game away and move forward.

He's going to have to figure out Curry, if he can make the Warriors pay for having Curry on him then we'll win this series.

The best thing about playoff series is players get to adjust. If this was a random Sunday night game then Rockets would be off to play someone else...but now, he gets to watch tape on the defense played against him, he gets to see the same matchup wednesday, and I hope he plays a lot better because the Rockets need him to.

Sadly you are right but Udoka isn't doing him any favors by keeping him out there excessively.

Will you ever hold Jalen responsible for his abysmal performances or will it be always clogged paint and bad refs?

It's just an example in the end, if Jalen dominates the rest of this series then no one will care about game 1 all that much.

Also, Curry averaged 16ppg against this same Rockets team and exploded. It's what the playoffs are about, upping your game because the level of competition is only going to get harder and harder from here on out.

If our young guys can't do this then we're done for in this series and it'll be over with in 4 or 5 games.

Nah, I think the best way is to rely on their depth and hope that the Rockets can get any Offense from playing Defense.....

I would trade Reed and Jabari for Flagg in an instant.....but I doubt they would get it done.

    • And balanced Offense has had the best results, I know the Warriors have more experience but they are beatable.

    • But anyhow, a defeat is not the end of the world either. You live and learn but Stone, get the Offense patched up!

I’m not shocked by JG’s performance, it’s like playing Russian roulette with him. You live by Jalen, you die by Jalen. That said, I can’t put all the blame on him. Udoka should’ve pulled him sooner and given Holiday a shot. I’m absolutely certain Holiday would’ve knocked down those wide-open looks more consistently than Jalen.

I want to see Udoka make smart adjustments, that’s my main hope. Stick with what’s working, like the Bari-Sengun-Adams lineup. Please, Udoka, if Jalen isn’t performing, don’t force him into the game.

Their depth is not going to win them a championship though. To do that, you are going to need to have the best player on the floor for the majority of the series. It doesn't have to ALWAYS be Green though, if he can pull it off for 2 games per series, that's fine. Just like how somehow Murray is the best players for the Nuggets a night or two in a series or how Iguodala some nights was the Warriors best player their first chip...

Green has to play better, period. This is why we drafted him #2.

As for Reed and Jabari, nope, I'm really not that high on Flagg. I'll think he'll be a good player, but I'm not buying some of the hype for him being some generational type player. Looks like another super athletic wing that might have issues scoring in the NBA and figuring out his offense to me. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I think Kerr is daring us to find our star in this and they have 2 veteran stars and Draymond Green is still a monster on Defense.

I think the way to counter this would be with a smoke screen of rando guys going off every game.

    Risky but it could work.

No, did you ever live in the mid 90's?

It's not that complicated a question.

Agreed. Both Holiday and Reed should get some burn. They’ll both make a lot more shots than Fred and Jalen.

I doubt they are winning anything or a chip this year.....but yeah I get your point that you wanna see if we can continue with Green.

Alperen is a constant, people dislike his inconsistent Defense or whatever......he is the best we have right now.

The Rockets are too inexperienced this year, and riding the hot hand is the best chance.

Hoping Amen and Tari can turn it on, risky as I said.

Jalen should be traded for an expiring contract and a low 1st rounder. Give Holiday and Cam his minutes. Jalen can come off the bench. The Rockets have nothing to lose by bringing on changes.

The advantage going into the game was always the double bigs.

why did it take so long to get Steven Adam’s in the game?

Fred is still trash and will be traded if we get eliminated in the first round.

you have to feed sengun everytime. He has a mismatch every time he’s in the paint. If they double him kick it out to an open shooter.

    It’s not that hard

They 100% need to get Jabari more shots. The rest of our main rotation outside of Brooks is all non shooters.

Fred and Jalen sucked this game.

But we lost the game because we were outcoached.

sengun has not mastered the art of finding an open shooter. Hes not jokic level. And plus we dont have any shooters on the floor. Odds are better he makes a circus hook then anyone making a 3 for us wide open.
