The Lakers may not fall apart but I have a difficult time seeing them being able to play .500 ball the last half. They're just too one man oriented. The Clippers are cleaning their clock tonight.

I agree with you on the Hornets. I don't see how they can keep from collapsing.

Huge victory for the Rockets. I don't know if they have an Astros-style run into the playoffs in them this year, but they are on a nice run here since Yao got back. One thing that worries me, though- I wonder why they seem to have so many problems getting out of the gate in the fourth quarter? Is it some unavoidable substitution patterns, coaching adjustments (or lack thereof)? It seems like these droughts happen all too often. Maybe it's just a lack shooters. I don't want to rain on the parade, though. Nice win and I am very impressed by Yao. Let's keep it going!

Actually that foul changed the momentum. We were getting harassed by Golden State on offense by Willis??? the refs were letting him get away with bodying up way out on the perimeter. That's how GS got all of the turnovers to start the 4th quarter. Juwan stepped up and said, if you guys are going to foul, this is how we are going to foul.

It changed the game in my mind. Immediately after that foul, the Rockets came back to life and the defensive pressure by GS eased up. At least that was how it seemed at the game.

If I'd been there, I'm sure I would have felt the same way you did. On the tube, they showed it in replay, and Howard knocked the crap out of the guy. I'm surprised he didn't get a technical, but I guess it was our night. :)

Yao was nothing short of beastly tonight. It seems like he always has good games agains the Clippers and the Warriors, at least this season. He missed a few point-blankers but it's ok, he made up for it with a lot of other things, rebounding, etc.

He even got 2 or 3 dunks tonight.

Oh and why hate on Juwan? At least for this game, he hit a lot of those mid range jumpers and that one jumper in the clutch was really important to winning this game. He was pretty much money all night.

Head nailed a couple 3's, that was nice to see because he seems to have been in a dry spell shooting the ball lately.

    Bogans+Hayes = keepers.

Has Ming become a Man? Well, he was the man tonight, with a little help from his friends. Great win!

i think j. rich. traveled on that dunk late in the game. and on another note chucky got 5 rebounds in 8 minutes. does anyone know why this guy is in the doghouse? i've seen nothing but hustle from that dude.

This was a great win for the Rockets. I enjoyed watching Yao finally becoMING the man. I like seeing Yao finally become more vocal out on the court. I hope T-Mac gets the rest he needs to deal with his lost and I will pray for him to get through it.

Yeah, gotta hand it to Juwan. He was tough as nails hitting those shots.

I really like Juwan. I just feel like we would be a much better team with him matched up with Deke coming off the bench. Then he could his post game and expand his offensive reportoire against 2nd teamers without taking any touches away from Yao, while allowing Stro to prowl around the floor playing off Yao and giving Yao more defensive support and getting stick backs that Juwan could never get because his feet are nailed to the floor. We can always bring in Juwan for clutch offense if the defense is forcing that little mid range jumper and Stro ain't got it.

You gotta face facts with Juwan. We get one game out of 5 like this with him. Here's hoping he doesn't start popping all those jumpers off the back of the rim when we play Phoenix again next week like he did last time. We cannot have a repeat performance like that again. And here's hoping that Van Gundy gives Stro a chance to chase Marion around and force Marion to put the ball on the floor. Juwan can't possibly guard Marion. We need that quickness with Stro. Juwan may be able to get away with a good game or two against teams that really don't play much defense or aren't as athletic (TMurphy doesn't even compare to Marion in the athleticism dept.) but against the better teams, it won't work. Our lack of quickness and slow footedness with both Yao and Juwan on the floor together is exposed against the more athletic, up tempo, upper echelon teams.

Juwan is a true professional, I'm glad to have him on our team. But we need to get better play out of our PF spot on a consistent basis. Otherwise, we won't go very far in the playoffs.

Obviously, being a Rockets fan, I love Yao, but isn't that going too far? Yao definitely will only get better, but Shaq is still pretty much unstoppable right now, I mean once he gets it down low. Shaq is still the best center in the league.

However, all things considered, I'D MUCH rather have Yao, because Yao's a beast. :D

Watching Miami play, it's getting harder and harder for them to get the ball to Shaq because he is not as active as he used to be. He is obviously in the decline.

They're like 2 ships passing in the night. Booooooooooooooooooooooooonk. If Yao hasn't surpassed him................he's getting very close.
