Luther Head is turning into a bonafided 6th man, he keeps plugging away, playing good basketball

    Now that was Total Domination.

It's nice to win when we're not hot from the 3pt line as well. Hopefully we can continue with the killer instinct on the road.

The highlight of the game for me was seeing Shane Battier's sneaker commercial on CCTV5 (since I was watching this game on TVU). It was like Bizarro world seeing that. I have LP but I might watch the rest of the Rox games on TVU just so I can catch Chuck Hayes' sneaker commercial. Yes Shane, you can play!

    Grades 1-10

TMac - 8.5 points, attacked the rim, shot was falling, good game
Yaoza - 8.5 points, shot was excellent, did not get in foul trouble, few great passes
Alston - 6 points, wasn't much on the court, made some good decisions, still lacking D
Luther - 6.5 points, did not take as many threes as I would liked it to see, did a good job of passing and running the ball...
Battier - 6 points, did not play much, did what he does best, small things
Hayes - 7.5 Did what he is supposed to do, grabbed some good rebounds, was at the right place at the right time
Howard - 7.5 one of his best games, he is getting better each game and its making me jealous, grabbed some good rebounds, good job definitely
Spanoulis - 4.5 some pretty bad decisions, although he scored 13 points he did not play well, you can feel that he is playing under pressure, I like the minutes he got, experience will improve the things he does not well

    others I will not grade

Alot of bigtime Francis fans will never forgive Van Gundy, my friend Andrew is borderline like that.

We dominated, peace should prevail tonight in Rocket land.

All is well....and I highly recommend the cheerleader thread.

first of all, complaining will always win out over giving credit, on every message board for every team in history. second, jvg has not been perfect and has given people ammunition. third, while i still don't really like him, i am fairly close to neutral as far as his coaching of the team. fourth, you say people always whine but all your posts are mostly "hey we did something good, why didn't every trip over themselves to compliment jvg. huh? huh?!" that's equally as annoying.

fifth, maybe everyone is just being like jvg, complain complain complain. how often does he overtly praise? hardly ever. how often does he complain or say things need work, even when things are going well? a lot.

sixth, my post from the end of the game thread.

edit: seventh, you post a lot during astros games and you seemingly have a reason for every phil garner decision, no matter how strange it may seem. if others are complainers by nature (and i probably am), then you seem to be a coach supporter by nature and want to believe they are doing right way too much of the time.

Agreed. I'd give him a 9+ even... new career high in rebounds.

So that makes the record 12-5 right? 4 more games until the first quarter of the season is gone, 1 more win and the Rockets are 1/4 of the way to 50+ victories.

So far so good... taking care of home games, beating who we should beat, everybody rounding into shape... except maybe Bonzi.
