No defense, no rebounding... sure, he fits right into this game thus far.

He is a decent rebounder if you check his numbers.

golden state is full of little guys who can basically claw, push, and grab at will without repercussion. it's nearly impossible to beat them the way the league is being officiated combined with our current team's makeup.

Even though we executed when we didn't turn it over, we still only scored 22 points with that "beautiful offense."

I think a lot of the perceptions are clouded by how awful we've looked against Golden State in the past (including the JVG years).

The fact that we're not down by double digits is apparently a "win" (even though we're down by 9).

Yao sealed off his man, but teammates didn't pass. Then when they decide to pass, the guy is not sealed off anymore.

He'd still look like trash. On 3 occasions already in this game, he started going towards an outside shooter, then thought the player might blow by him and stopped going towards him, getting caught in no man's land in the process.

If you're gonna challenge the shot, challenge the shot. If the guy blows by you, Yao is behind. He just did the worst of both possible scenarios.

Novak actually has numbers? From where, High School?

Currently, Golden State is closer to being a contender than the Rockets are... and that's assuming the Rockets completely gel into the team Rick Adelman visualized (which is a big if).

Also, if Yao never punishes a quicker/smaller defender... the refs are never going to give him the benefit of the doubt when he loses the ball. Currently, the refs have to assume that Yao is defendable (fairly) by a smaller player until he proves otherwise.

I'm glad Yao got his 3rd foul he wasn't doing anything except turning the ball over anyways...
