The Rockets need to figure out how to make Yao effective against this Golden State team. Without McGrady, we have no shot at beating them otherwise.

I think Golden State wins this won.

Hard to beat GS if their 3s are falling. Those are TERRIBLE shots most of the time, but if they are falling, the Warriors look like world-beaters. When they go small we need to punish them with Yao, rather than match-up to them. But if Yao's man is raining 3s...that's a tough one.

I agree. 3-0 without Tmac would be nice. But the GS is a horrible match-up for us. I just don't see how we can beat them.

What the hell is with these negativity? I don't this thread need that kinda crap.

Think like a loser, and you'll always be a loser.

I want the Rockets to win as much as everyone else here. But I also speak the reality.

reality? The game haven't even started......

And if you really want rocket to win, you shouldn't post that kinda stuff. If you truly think Rox gonna lose, why brother even post? or watch the game?

Nothing is 100% possible nor is it 100% impossible.

If the Warriors are determined to double team Yao all the time, let it be. Other players have to make them pay for it. That's the only way to win this game.
If they, however, let Yao catch the ball (inside or outside), I would say we have a good chance to win (actually against any team).

    Tmac is out.

The most effective/only way to stop Yao is to swamp him with small and fast front court players. GS has a lot of those.

Yes, we have a 5% chance of winning this game. Do you feel better now?

Litisen to Battier, don't force to pass Yao, when they front him, others need to punish them. If we can hit, we win, otherwise hard to say.

At least they played Denver last night and win, hope they are tired and can not run and cold for all night.

Go Rox, this win is really big.

You think we would win tonight with TMac playing? We didn't win last time against GS. Now we have a new team play. Why don't you just give us a little benefit of doubt?

I saw this from Chron "By the way, Yao was very sick during the past week. He threw up twice, and had to go to hospital to get IV rehydration before the Toronto game and pulled it off by sheer will power. He said he felt almost passed out during the first half of the Toronto game. He is still sick but said will play in GS game as long as he can walk to the court."

Yao may not the best, but I just like this guy. I believe He can carry the team if we give him a couple of weeks from now.

Yao would have to be like shark smelling the trace of blood. He has to shoot a high percentage when he is not double teamed.

I agree. This is NBA, and anything is possible. If Rockets play hard and make shots, they have a good chance to win. Remember Warriors played last night, and Rockets have the home-court advantage.

Nelson's trick strategy can only work sometime. If it worked all the time, every team would copy it.

It's already 2008 in France, just came back from the celebration in the streets, there's still lots of noise !

This game will be really fun to watch, the Warriors are one of my favourite teams and the Rockets will have to execute well tonight.

GO ROCKETS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !
