Sura sparked us. It's great to see him provide energy on the court which makes things easier for us.

    we are fast-breaking!

    I just love it!

Sura is amazing! Yao is doing fine, so is T-mac. What more can we expect?

Best all around game of the year, pure and simple. Is it the breakout game we have all been waiting for? Don't know, but we will soon find out. Sura had an outstanding game. I loved Ming's rebounds and TMac is, well, TMac. Encouraging.

T-mac likes to pad up his stats in trash time. He is self-fish at this point.

That's because of the sucking JVG, not Yao doesn't want to

We don't have very good complimentary players to Yao and TMac and we still play so much better with the controlled break. One thing about rebounding is that when teams know you are fastbreaking, they can't clog the paint so much on the offensive glass. Once that starts, then the pressure comes off the rebounders. Van Gundy keeps talking about the fact that you have to rebound to be able to run. Well, you also have to run to be able to help your rebounding. The opponent has to start dropping back on D instead of crashing the glass on you all the time. Even with this mediocre to poor group of role players it is obvious that if we run the defene has to get 2 bodies back to even have a chance of stopping TMac. He's just too tall, too rangy, too good with the ball. If we keep running, our rebounding will improve.

I know it was the Warriors tonight, but I hope and believe this is a glimpse of the Rocket-ball we will see throughout the season once we develop some consistency.

Tough D, solid half court game, with the extra bonus of TMac going off at any time.

As Sura works his way into shape and gets to know his teammates on the court, those stretches where we have such difficulty scoring will diminish.

One of the more enjoyable Rocket games to watch in some time.

Man the Warriors really suk. They made us look like the team we invisioned before training. Too bad the Rockets can't preform like this night in and night out. Reality bites.

Tell this to Yao haters and doubters. They care about Yao's stats. If Yao doesn't have good stats, u know what they have to say about Yao. ;)

We played a good game. We got into transition and actually got fastbreak points. Sura was amazing.

Tmac is still in the Orlando mode where he's got to take hundreds of shots a game. I know Van Gundy told him to play his game, but come on....how many shots does he take and misses. How many shot does Yao take or anyone else on the team? how do you expect Yao to take over when he takes around 10 shots a game. I love the Rockets, but I hope Yao signs with some other team where he can grow. As long as he's with the Rockets and Tmac & Van Gundy are here, he will only be a role player.

Yao is not just a role player in Rox. if he was playing the 4th qtr than he would have 20+ pts. i like yao that dominates the defensive paint, just like shaq and garnet.

If Yao had been in the game in the 4th quarter I am sure that the number of shots that T-mac took would be less. With Yao out of the game it is T-mac who NEEDS to take those shots, especially when he is hitting (5 for 6 in the 4th and 48% for the game). If you have watched any rockets games this year you can clearly see that T-mac is more than willing to pass the ball and especially to Yao. It seems he is always looking for Yao when he drives to the basket and passes to him almost as much as he takes the shot himself.

I will agree that JVG might be hindering Yao's growth but in no way can you say the same for T-mac. He wants to win. Thats why he came here and he knows that he needs Yao to win championships.

p.s. Yao is not going anywhere.

One curious thing to know is that if the Rox played zone defense today? I heard JVG tried 1-3-1 zone sometime in this game.

By the way, I don't think Yao needs to score 20+ for Rox to win. If Yao can grab 15 rb a game, that would be awesome.

    65 or 56 boards???

AP says 65, Espn boxscore shows 56. I see the discrepancy is the 9 "team rebounds". I assume team rebound means collective effort by some teammates.

    Which is ultimately correct???
