    was that really necessary? :(

    comeon guy, just drop it.
It doesnt make you look big, quite the opposite in fact.

and also, in case you havent figured it out, ZRB saying we are going to lose is virtually guaranteeing a win..thats just how things go.

GSW features two of the greatest Rocket-killers: Nick the Quick and Cliff Robinson.

Hmmm. I agree, it's cool that we're getting props from other teams and from the media. But I'm holding off on the chest bumps until we beat either the Spurs, Mavs, or Lakers.

I'm pleased with the way this season's started. We've won games that in the past we would have lost. I love JVG. The team shows grit. Yao's coming along. Yada yada. All that being said, we need to beat one of the big boys before I truly believe.

Heh. I wonder if they have a "gameday" thread like this over on Yao's Chinese BBS. If so, theoretically, it's possible that Yao reads it. If that's the case, and yes it's a stretch, but if that's the case, then the BBS actually could affect the game.

    Food for thought.

    www.knbr.com

There are two "listen live" links at the top of the screen, the one on the left is KNBR which should have the Golden State radio broadcast. The link works fine for me, though of course, I haven't checked it during a game, I know it's possible they don't let the game go out over the stream, some other stations cover up games from being broadcast, so I guess we'll see. You do have to fill out streamaudio's quick little "registration" thing, but it's not like you have to give them your real e-mail. ;)

I hope KZNE will be playing the game here locally, they never seem to air the early games (i.e. games before 7 central) but they air most of the later ones I think.

    Welcome back Mo!!!

Hopefully Mo will take some pressure off Yao so he can stop bricking shots in the paint!

GS did a good job of keeping their minutes low on the first night of a back to back. No one played more than 37 minutes, and Nick played 28. I'm sure NVE's going to play, especially since the game's in H-Town.

However, they lack depth up front. They only have ONE big man off the bench, and that's Brian Cardinal. Basically, Cliff and Damp will wear down hopefully. Back-to-back road games, although Dampier's playing well, he hasn't come up against Yao yet.

I'm pretty sure rancis can't have a big game (Scoring). He has major problems against quick and smaller guards - Nick the Quick, AJ The General, and Speedy Claxton. Baically, his worst nightmare.

I'm hoping Yao can get it going, and also hoping our backcourt plays their backcourt to a standstill.

What am I banking on? I'm thinking JJ abuses Dunleavy a bit, and our bench harrasses their bench somehow behind Boki, Padgett, MoT, and Moochie.

Nonetheless, if we pay our standard defense, I can'tsee these guys eclipsing 80 points in The Showroom.

Last year they beat us at the CC. Earl Boykins outscored a very tired-looking Yao in the paint. We'll probably beat 'em tonight since they can't unleash the Little Pearl on us.

I have alway had luck with the KTCT_AM 1050 in the past but when I tried to listen to it this morning all I got was some crazy music. I guess just try it and maybe we will get lucky.

*********Remember, because of the NBA restrictions you may have to start listening to it at least 30 minutes before the start of the game so it will not kick you off.**********

    Hope this helps.

Yes, ZRB is very fun. But I think that she or he is the Rox fun.

I wish CH51 will not on League Pass again. I have never seen such poor reception before and last game against Phily was interrupted 6 or 7 times during game time.

Anyway, a loss, because their guards are too quick for SF to defend and TOs and ISO number will rise skyhigh once SF get frustrated.

I wish GS would have won that game last night. I worry about teams coming into town off a loss for some reason. They will probably be hungry for a win.

I hope Nick doesn't play. He's a bonafide Rocket killer. Plus he and Stevie seem to always turn the game into a one-on-one contest. We can't have that tonight.

We outsize and out talent them, as JVG likes to say. Yao needs to take his defense on Dampier very seriously. I think that will be the key to the game. They're going to go to Dampier often, 1. to wear out Yao, and 2. to get him into foul trouble. Let's see if Yao responds.

Rockets are going agains a former assistant coach Jim Boylen, who is very familiar with the Rockets players.

It remains to be seen how much the Rockets have improved from last year. Last year the Rockets lost to bad teams at home on back to back.

    My prediction:

    Golden State Worriors 95
    Houston Rockets 91

The Warriors are a much better team, but the Rockets should still come out on top. Here is why,

    1. Nick Van Exel is the most serious thread to the Rockets. He can easily get by any of our guards, penetrate to the hoop. The good news is his condition & knee will limit his minutes.

    2. Dunleavy is a very good shooter when without contact. JJ should be physical with him, get his shots off;

    3. Dampier has been playing very well, he is extremly physical, a monster on the board, especially offensive board. His offensive game is average at the best, his shots have been inconsistent to say the least. Yao & Cato should blank his offense completely. The key is to block him from going for the glass;

Other Warriors can score some points, but very inconsistent. Richardson is all style, no substance. At the end, the Rockets will D up the Warriors, come out with a W.

    Rockets: 91
    Warriors: 78
