    I don't know what to said. Actually I do but I'm not going to. If you've taped the game, pleaes review it. You'll understand. I HOPE.

    11 sec is almost 50% of a 24 sec shot clock!

    OK OK ,Damiper is not a loser.
    The ESPN's Recap is not Complete.
    On playing against Yao Ming:
    "He's not a Shaquille (O'Neal). We didn't double-team him the whole game so why should we at the end. We just tried to get him off his spot and not get anything easy."
    Jason Richardson
    "I thought we did a good job and had open looks but we have to learn how to finish off the game."
    "The Houston players really seem to believe in each other. Last year it was just Steve (Francis) and Cuttino (Mobley)and a lot of isolation plays. They are really going to be a good team if they continue to play good defense and play together as a team."

    Eric Mussuleman
    On the Rockets this year vs. last year:
    "Jeff (Van Gundy) has done a really good job defensively but I also thought Rudy (Tomjanovich) did a good job. Houston has to be very proud of their back-to-back coaches."

    Like i said earlier, Yao doesn't have the gut to argue with the referee. So if he gets a few technicals, big deal. At least that could force the referee to pay closer attention next time.

    i think what he's trying to say is, sometimes bad things come to you it's because you brought it upon yourself.

    Actually the idiom given by Yao means:

    "If you yourself do something bad, you don't deserve to live." (Actually doesn't sound that harsh in Mandarin.)

    It's like, if you yourself are playing badly, then you deserve to lose. No one else can save you. (Compared to: if you play great but still lost, then you need not blame yourself too much.)

    So basically eventhough they won, Yao still regrets missing the two freethrows, and he hopes that in future games he can avoid the situation describe by the idiom.

    Yao is just being lazy this season. In his rookie season he shot 81% from the charity stripe, even better than Stevie's 80%. Right now, all 3 starters, Cat/Stevie/Yao shot under 80. This really sucks.

    Do all of you forget that Yao has shot over 90% FT in the preseason?

    If he can improve his mentality (which must be improved after gaining more experience), he definitely has the ability to be a 85% FT player.

    GO ROCKETS!

    :eek: Dang. I hate to think what Yao would say after a loss.

    Thanks for the translation BTW.

    Maybe it can be put in this way:
    There's a Chinese saying: One deserves all bad he's done to himself. Think it over tonight yourself, guys.

    From those words, you can see clearly what separate a true Star from a mediocrity.... Good job, YAO, not only for what you have done tonight but also for what you have said!

    I just hope that Yao would save all that humble attitude for post-game comments. I want Yao to have a bad attitude on the court.

    "That's what we need from him; we need him to be the big man," Rockets forward Kelvin Cato said of Yao. "Pat Ewing, Dream (Hakeem Olajuwon), the kind of big man you go to in crunch time and count on to get that basket or get that rebound. He's getting there. A lot of people have their opinion about him. Just let him play his game. He'll get there."

    Dampier is an ass. He deserves to play for the warriors...Yao busted him for 15 points when it counted most...

    I was surprised that Padgett didn't play at all tonight. I know he is struggling a bit and all matchups have to be seen on the court but he is a smart player even though there are more talented players than him on the squad. I hope JVG will give him a chance in the next game.

    True. Hopefully we could witness his growing process to be a true NBA dominant player, The ONE... the sooner the better. That should be one of true unforgettable experience in ones' life :)

    If that's the case, then certainly you would agree that the loss at Toronto was very UNlucky, and we deserved to win that one...

    I guess we're even on the year...

    *lol* What are you talking about? I hope you're being sarcastic. If not...

    Yao = 7'5 center

    Francis = 6'3 guard

    Yao SHOULD get more boards than Francis -- easily. And Yao played less minutes b/c he got in foul trouble EARLY. They both were big reasons why we (the Rockets) won, don't ruin it with an idiotic post.

    Again, if you're being sarcastic I apologize.
