to bad artest is starting and wafer is coming off the bench man

 

If that is true then all bets are off.

 

it is they just said it on tv, like i said above aldleman is blowing these games, we got no one on the bench who can guard maggette

 

Wafer has done nothing but play at an almost all star level as a starter. He moves the ball, hits his open shots and drives to the basket. He has clearly earned the right to start until he proves he is no longer playing well enough to start or someone starts playing better.

I agree hes playing great, he played 9 minutes last game, 9, the poor kid was our savior a little over a week ago and when your starters come back hes reduced to nothing, good luck signing him next year rockets

i'm surprised too. but i think adelman sees that wafer is simply a role player. he has good offensive skills, but aaron brooks did also (a really good month when he averaged around 13-14ppg and was our best guard).

if you saw the last game, philly disregarded wafer and didn't bother to guard him one bit.

as a result, adelman thinks he has to play with the rotation of players that will play a lot for him in the playoffs. you can't put too much stock on wafer now and he might fizzles later on.

but i'm surprised he hasn't started. artest's role was off the bench anyways.

besides scola who has been more consistent for us then wafer

 

He may very well fizzle at some point but with the way he has played I think he has earned the right to play until he fizzles because he might just keep playing great.

Furthermore...if Artest is going to be our super sub then I think he needs to stay in that role and Wafer gives the team that opertunity to keep him there.

But...I am not the coach.

but scola has been consistent all year and is a proven starter. wafer has had a great half a month and teams still haven't game plan for him.

like you i think wafer should get more minutes. i'm thinking from adelman's point of view. it's like if we should start by who's playing the best at hte moment, rafer would have lost his starting job in the first month when brooks badly outplayed him and was our most consistent perimeter player.

you cannot think of it like that.

 

i agree with you wafer should start b/c artest's primary role will be off the bench anyways. it's stupid to start him now. let him get comfortable in that role.

You gotta give Wafer minutes and not just assume he will start to struggle. He earned his PT until he loses it.

 

Just so you know, we aren't 4-0 anymore, we aren't 4-0 with brooks starting for a while in fact.

 

if you see my posts, i disagree with a lot of what adelman does. i'm simply looking for why he's doing this.

role players are role players for a reason. brooks had a great start, but now he's sucking more than rafer ever did. so had we start brooks when he had his good start and he got into a slump like he has now, we switch rafer back to the starter job?

wafer has done a great job but teams haven't game plan for him (if you saw the last game, none of his shots were contested).

again, sometimes i don't know what adelman thinks. i'm trying to find a reason for his logic like all of you do.

 

last time i checked we were and he hasnt started in a while, but i do wanna see a site to show me im wrong, cause i very well could be cause i just read it from someone elses post
