Oh I love what Rich is doing, I knew he would pull this team together soon or later beacsue hes a great coach. He knows what hes doing at all times, but I have to amit sometimes I think hes crazy.

I think the Rockets are in for a great ride after tonights game. If we get 30 wins by all-star break thats a great sign and I think we can do it. Our next 9 games we should win our hardest games will be with the Cavs and Portland and thats it. So even if we lose those 2 we will still be at 7-2 and that will give us a record of 32-22 at the all-star break.

    No controversy.

His defense is very bad. That is why he doesn't play much.

There is no use in scoring 20 points if you are costing the team 30.

You are right. It is now 104:108
NY have a lot of talents and they should be very competitive in the east.
The only problem is that they don't play with hearts.

I think it is more mind than heart, but it is both.

I don't worry as much as I use to about the capable PG becasue I know thats not going to change anytime soon. We have to work with what we have for now.

A very important victory for the Rockets. Against the Warriors, you can't fall into their trap, which is playing at their tempo all game long, and taking ill advised 3's; thats their game, not ours. We have a dominant big man in the middle, and FINALLY, we got him the ball against the Warriors. We ran the ball selectively, guarded the basket well (thanks to Yao and Battier), and made Davis work for his points.

Yao showed us why he is the best player on the team tonight, by dominating from start to finish, and he was clutch tonight and worked hard on the boards. Rafer rebounded from a tough couple of games and Luther had his shot on target tonight. Battier played excellent help defense. Scola made smart passes into Yao, Landry finished strong inside, and Novak came through once again with his shooting.

This will help in our standings, but also in the way we play. The Rockets got over a huge mental hurdle that is the Warriors, and now they should be playing with much more confidence throughout the season. We should go 3-0 on the next road trip, and hopefully that will cover some ground in the West Standings.

Great game by the Rockets! Almost lost it there at the end but thank goodness Yao stepped up in the clutch!
Good games for Alston and Head. Solid games for our fire and ice duo of Landry and Novak. :D

I agree they need to make plays for Novak while he's in the game. They should pass him the ball everytime he's open and then Yao can have free reign down low while the opposing PF goes out to defend Novak on the perimeter. If only Battier could impart some of his defensive prowess to Novak...

Kwame Brown is far and away the leader in +/- tonight. I hope he doesn't get on some kind of mini roll while Bynum is out. I'd say it's unlikely.

More importantly, one that stays relatively healthy and always gives it 100%.

My bad we only have 7 more games before the all-star break, but we should win them all.

    It is good win!

    1. 7 TOs was the price Rocket had to pay for giving Yao Ming enough rest;
    2. Rookies like Brooks was too eager to show off and wasted a few easy points.
    3. The team definitly played better when T-Mac was benched.

Costing the team 30? . . Hmm I don't quite agree bro, cuz if the rockets make plays for him, and as the way his 3 point shooting is pretty much instant right now, wouldn't he be almost pretty much makin all his 3's and scoring 20 points while not costing the team 30? . . I'm not going to lie, his defense is bad, but imagine him shootin 3's lights out, one after another after another, you know? . . But alright bro, I'll agree with you, I just hope Novak matures like Head has, and becomes a very versatile player, I hope!

    1) Don't you think they would be playing Novak if his defense wasn't a liability? Nobody doubts his shooting prowess.

    2) Luther Head is not a very versatile player. He is about as non-versatile as they come for perimeter players.
