the other day i heard colin cowherd giving his opinion on why eli was able to emerge to lead the giants to the super bowl like he has. he cited tiki barber's retirement and shockey's injury as big factors in eli's rise. he said that getting rid of shockey's superstar prima donna attitude, always being in eli's ear saying gimme the damn ball, basically dominating the huddle, was huge.

could the same thing be going on with t-mac? it's starting to become apparent that our role players play much much better when he's out. i don't know if we can just dismiss it as a fluke anymore. I think our role players (luther, scola, rafer) relax their sphincters when they don't have to worry about t-mac staring them down for making a mistake, missing a shot, etc.

don't get me wrong, with t-mac, of course overall we're a better team, but that's only because t-mac is so talented that he (usually) can compensate for how much suckier our role players play in his presence.

who could we get for t-mac that would instead have a positive synergistic effect on our role players?

Damn if Novak + Landry + Hayes combined all their good traits together, he would be GOAT

WTF is wrong with Novak? It looks like he doesn't like contact, and he runs away from the ball.

Too bad there's no "designated shooter" in basketball.

Yao's hook shots are gone. Good thing is his fadeway's are still there.

RA likes to use Novak because he reminds him of 'Peja' I guess

I wonder who's our Doug Christie and Bobby Jackson?

The problem I see is that the Rockets are not rebounding like they did in the first half. They need to go big right now.
