Too many careless turnovers

Terrible display on defense. Neither one of them were communicating with one another.

Horrific offensive execution. Ill-advised shots, missed open shots and spacing was bad. (The commentator made it seem like the Warriors defense was the best in the business)

But hey its only one game huh so let's get over it because we have another one tomorrow night against the Grizzlies

 

One thing I'm getting tired of fast is the incessant and completely unnecessary switching on the perimeter when the other team isn't even forcing us to make that switch.

It seemed like every time they had the mismatch they exploited it for easy points.

 

People think that the turnovers, particularly from passing or mishandles, were a more recent thing or just something in the losses. But it's been like that all season long. That along with some suspect defense along with going cold from 3 way too often or every other game didn't matter as long as the Rockets were winning but it was always there. The defense has a chance because I see this team able to somewhat intensify it unlike last season in an instance. This team can be a contender if healthy and acquiring another decent big would help.

 

It's just one game.

 

PUT IN KYLE WILT-LIKE ALREADY and give him SickAnderson/Brewer minutes.

I'm not even a Brewer hater and I was SHOCKED how many minutes he played tonight.

But this isn't random misspelling. Bev and Capela comprise 40% of our starting lineup. You going to go the rest of your life letting technology misspell your team? I post on mobile and iPad too.

I think a lot of folks misspell Beverley here, myself included. Not a big deal, though.

Yeah, 72 times is a lot. That's why I just call him Bev now, so I never misspell it.

So it begins. Was just one game.

 

This is pretty much the essence of the problem. If the goal is to beat up on most NBA teams, and be well positioned for the playoffs, this is certainly the team to do accomplish it. If the goal is to really try to win a championship, we will get destroyed by the Warriors in the playoffs, only this time even worse than the past 2 years.

Morey has got a tough decision. Either he improves the roster, significantly or marginally, or he saves the cap space for next summer in the hopes of nabbing another star. As others have surmised, he is likely to just wait until the trading deadline and see what's out there.

This team as currently constructed is not a contender, we were not even supposed to be at this level. So, don't be mad, a western conference finals would be a great accomplishment. The summer they have to upgrade the roster to be true contenders

 

Resting

 

BWHAHAHA 72 times means he thought he was spelling it correctly. I use to spell those two names wrong a lot at first. Hey it happens. Lol

 

14 TOs for Houston and 14 TOs for GS. I fail to see this as the problem. Brightside of the game. Capela with 22/12. He looks like he is back and perhaps has been working on his FTs while rehabbing.

 

Not mad, just an opinion that I believe realistically represents what we are as a NBA team -- a very good team, but not great. In all fairness to Morey and the other gms: I am not even sure much can be done in regards to beating a super team like the Warriors. The Rockets, the Spurs, and even the Cavaliers may steal a couple of games in a 7-game series against the Warriors, but barring injury to either Curry or Durant, no team at the present time will beat them in the playoffs. Still, things change. The NBA landscape could be quite different three months from now.

 

We couldn't make a shot, and allowed many made shots.

Our layups were mostly blocked, and we couldn't defend.


Rockets need some rest, but wont get any until the first week of February.
