The Warriors this year are like the Clippers last year.

Small game James shrinks when the BIG LIGHTS are turned on.

Exactly, no leadership is hurting us. Dwight or Harden needs to step the **** up!

How many of those 130+ pts were bank shots. It must have been a record..

Rox still have a team as complete as you could possibly want it.. The lengths of Ariza, Brewer, and Smith along with the emergence of DMo... They did get Harden and DMo into foul trouble early on.. Kerr is the best rookie coach ever because he's been coaching since he was playing. Jordan's 4,5 and 6th Championships were predicated on Kerr's on court coaching. There I said it.

Without the big 3rd, it would been a different game. If the playoff starts today, Warriors will destroy, but the playoffs don't start until late spring. The game plan to beat the Warriors is to play our game, if we play their game of run and shoot, we'll get destroy. If we give them 90+ shots a game, we will lose a majority of the time, but if hold them to 70-80 shots a game, we will win a lot more than lose. If the playoff starts today and it was a 1 game playoff like the NFL, the Warriors would be favorite by 21 points + every playoff game. Wait till it really counts.

The worst thing about this loss is half the time, it looked like the Warriors were play "Horse". Uncontested bank shots happened very often.

Yea, he really shrank in the recent nationally televised game vs OKC and Durant where he was one rebound short of a triple double and scored thirty points.

The Rockets were 4-0 against the Spurs last year and played favorably against the Blazers in the regular season.

I take away very little from this one loss

From the season thus far I conclude they need another playmaker beside James.

The Harden/Curry debate is nice and all... Until you factor in that Klay Thomson is playing right next to Curry. It's an advantage in the backcourt that almost no other teams have.

The NBA is a backcourt league now. Dwight played really good and the team got blown out. Dwight played great in the playoffs last year... Team struggled. It doesn't matter one iota hiw Dwight performs offensively. How the guards go is how the Rockets go. Harden, Bev, Ariza, Terry and Brewer shot 13-45. End of game.

Rockets need another backcourt playmaker next to Harden. Dragic and Lawson would be my targets but are highly unlikely. Not sure where to go after them.

Force Pap to improve his handle. With good handles Pap would surely be a stellar playmaker. Those handles are not NBA level as it sits now.

His shot is also suspect. Can't be bad in both areas. Won't improve enough in either area to ever make a difference as a consistent playmaker. The Rockets tried that with Ariza the first time around.

Jrue Holliday or Brandon Knight would be great options... But again that ain't happening.

Dragic seems to be the one at least somewhat plausible scenario.

Say we are able to get Dragic by giving them DMo, who they would want back. The Rox are back to being an undersized team with little to now post presence on offense.

That is not the case at all. Harden shows up for big and small games. Ask the Spurs. I don't even think that it was Klay's defense either. Yesterday, Harden stopped himself. After only a couple of minutes of play, anybody could see he was not himself. Honestly, he looked like a guy who was just recovering from a hangover.

What slowed down both Harden and Dmo were that they picked up early fouls.

We have a chance to have either Dragic or Lawson, but the Rockets must be willing to give them a young player with great potential, and the only one that GMs will be interested in is D-Mo. The key question is would we do it.

So how were the Rockets able to make the two previous games so competitive w/o Howard, yet get blown out in this game?

We can add Dragic or Lawson and be more talented but if the coaches don't know when to play certain players or who to play together at certain times of the game and how to take advantage of the opponent through matchups/Off/Def sets it really doesn't matter who you have.
