This is one of my games from the 6 pack I got. Ugh, it is going to be tough sitting through this one especially after paying NBA prices to watch 2 CBA quality teams! :(

Juwan Howard is not even an average player in this game.. Juwan is probably the worst player after Lampe and MR. Rybe... the best players on the court are MCcant, Motumbo, and Chuck Hayes.. :D

This could be a classic like the last Texan game this year. Or it could be a blow out for the Rockets as JVG to show what a stud coach he is, plays Howard, Wesley and even Motumbo 40 plus minutes in order to whip up on the young guys from the T Wolves.

McCants ain't playing either. They are benching him, too. Less than a week after his 20+pt outburst, he mysteriously injured his ankle. ;)

Bill Worrell: Rockets have 3 seconds left left in the game minnesota up by 2, Juwan will inbound the ball

Clyde Drexler: The rockets will have Juwan inbounds the ball because he is an excellent all-around person and and a great passer and plus he knows who to get the job done in the 4th quarters

Bill Worrell: Clyde I always wanted to say this, "Shut the hell up" What does him being an all-around good person have to do with the game?

Rafer bring the ball in with 3.2 on the game clock, banks is all over Rafer, Rafer fakes, Rafer drives to his right and attract two timberwolves, luther head in the corner, Rafer drives, throws a behind the back pass to luther lead, and thorws it in the first row!!! What did he see

Clyde Drexler: Rafer probaly just thought his pass to luther would be more effective if he passed the ball without looking, his patented playground move!

Bill Worrell: Aww...f*** this I quit!!

They are even calling in NBDL players to play in these games. Giving them 16 minutes!

Wolves lose again; McCants hurts ankle
    BY RICK ALONZO
    Pioneer Press

Memphis, Tenn. — These are the growing pains the Timberwolves will have to endure, now that they've committed to a youth movement.

They can fight and scrap and beat a team such as Atlanta at home, which they did Sunday.

But on the road, they haven't been about to win even with their top two scorers, Kevin Garnett and Ricky Davis, in the lineup. Without them, they had a difficult time being competitive Tuesday night against the playoff-bound Memphis Grizzlies, losing 92-76 at FedExForum.

It was the Wolves' 14th consecutive road loss, equaling the second-longest drought in franchise history, previously set in 1994.

The worst news of the night for the Wolves might have been an injury to rookie Rashad McCants.

McCants suffered a sprained right ankle with 9:21 left in the game when he made a jumper and then landed awkwardly on a defender's foot, rolling over backwards in pain. He left the game with 9:01 remaining and went into the training room for treatment; he did not return.

McCants said he was in some pain after the game but hopes his ankle improves enough for him to play tonight in Houston as the Wolves continue their final road trip of the season.

It's the same ankle he sprained in Las Vegas during a minicamp last summer.

"I'm fully recovered from that injury, and I should be all right," he said.

In 23 minutes Tuesday, McCants scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Wolves coach Dwane Casey complimented his aggressive play in the second half after the rookie picked up two fouls in the first half and was limited to two points in nine minutes.

A first-round draft pick out of North Carolina, McCants is a key component of the future, one of the players the Wolves hope to develop before the season ends a week from tonight at home against Memphis.

If McCants' injury is serious enough to keep him out of the final four games, that would be a big blow to the team's plans as they close this season.

Ten Wolves registered double-digit totals in minutes played against Memphis.

Casey said he wanted to spread the playing time around to keep his starters fresh for tonight's game.

There weren't many bright spots, given that the Wolves fell behind 25-13 by the end of the first quarter and the margin was never close after that.

But Justin Reed continued to run the floor hard and finished plays at the rim with authority. He had some nice dunks in transition and made 7 of 11 shots for 14 points in 27 minutes.

Rookie Bracey Wright, called up from the Development League on Monday, finished with seven points on 1-of-5 shooting in 16 minutes, his most in three NBA games so far.

"It felt good to be out there. I had a little jitters, but after the first minute that went away," Wright said.

Said Casey: "I was really impressed with Bracey. He looks comfortable out there."

As for the veterans, point guard Marko Jaric had nine assists in 25 minutes.

"I'm just trying to play through this," Jaric said. "I was basically sitting on the bench for the last two months, so I'm still excited to get out there and play."

Memphis all-star Pau Gasol has been a terror against the Wolves recently, despite going against Garnett, a perennial all-star. But Garnett, along with Davis, didn't make the trip and are being held out as the Wolves develop for the future.

Gasol finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against his overmatched Wolves counterpart, Eddie Griffin.

It remains to be seen whether Garnett and Davis appear in another game for the Wolves this season. But at this point, it's doubtful since the team has no chance of making the playoffs.

So funny and true. Is there anyone on this bbs who could not play the Clyde role?-- and just repeat what Bill said and then whatever other sentence pops into your head.

Maybe I should go to TC to spport the team to win this important game. Just give 110% effort, who will get injured this time?

I thnk the people who still are posting on here what Yao will do in tonights game should be axed...how can you call your self a rockets fan and not know Yao has a broken foot...there are a handful of people who get on here and posted things like "Yao 45 points 18 rebs, ....and "Yao is a game time decision"..what the hell...what do they bring to the table for this site?..they obviously don't follow the rockets.....
Hey, everybody was saying that the Texans were tanking it at the end of the season...The Twoloves are doing the worst job hiding the tank job they are pulling....Ricky Davis and Garnett diddn't even come on this road trip...Garnett has Tendinitis....and I don't know what is wrong with Davis...We better find a way to lose this one although I think it will be pretty tough.....

holy crap, whoever said it wasn't lying, juwan will actually be the best player on the court. this is historic.

this is how i feel. i haven't even been watching many rockets games lately, but you have to appreciate unique moments in sports history like the game tonight. i mean many times teams with even worse records have faced off at the end of a season, but the collective talent level and will to lose may be off the charts here. our records have been boosted by talent that won't be in this game. we have two of the biggest superstars in the league, and both are injured. minny has one of the biggest, and they're just not playing him. that's another factor that boosts this game, one of the teams basically just came out and admitted that they are trying to lose out. you don't get that kind of commitment often. you've got a 14 game road losing streak facing off against a juwan led team. we've got the veterans and (amazingly) more talent, but they have the young guys possibly trying to prove themselves (but a franchise desperate to unprove itself).

who will lose this slapfest. will the defensive effort be lacking enough to let the offenses score? will the effort level and desire to lose be able to reach Texans v 49ers level? can the game live up to its hype? let us hope so.

    Okay....ok.....Yao with 25.

It's called sarcasm, you nitwit.
Kind of like how everyone tries to one up each other with stupid jokes....because that's all that's left of this season: stupid humor.

Unless.......unless.......you're countering my sarcasm with your sarcasm, then I'm re-sending my sarcasm to counter your anti-sarcasm move. But you're still a nitwit.

Get back in line, you rookie.
