I would rather have a Rocket win, but if they lose I don't mind either. I could careless who we play in the playoff in the first round, I mean we need to beat all of the teams anyway, mind as well try to win all the game we can and gain some experience and confidents. Maybe JVG should try limiting the play time of the starter to give them some rest? They have a 5 game chusion if front of the 8th spot, so I think it won't be a bad idea.

Just imagine if the game comes down to the wire, we are down by 1, Yao has the ball. Now he needs to ask himself whether he puts the ball in or not.

IF we win, we can kiss Minny goodbye for 1st round PO and instead face either Spurs or Lakers.

I think that we can beat Minny in the 1st round, but have no chance against the Lakers Fab4, and the Spurs is just a better team now because they keep composure down the stretch and never beat themselves in a series.

We cannot worry about who we will play in the first round. The bottom line is that we WILL play someone in the first round, and thats better than the previous 4 years.

Right now we just need to win, build confidence and gain momentum. I dont see how any Rocket fan could say they "wouldnt mind" seeing the Rockets lose tonight? WTF is that crap? I want to win EVERY friggin game.

Me and a buddy will be at the game tonight. Were old school yellers, perhaps we can get the "silent majority" (attending fans who sit on their hands) to get a little boisterous.

    Uh.... yeah right

It'll be a tough game. As SamFisher pointed out it'll be a tough game to win but you never know which team is gonna show up.

    Rockets - 96

    Timberwolves - 94

I agree, so we know it can happen because it is so unlikely. I don't know what to expect in the playoffs; they might wilt like a flower or roar like a lion.

    This just isn't true.

Why does everyone think that if we beat Minny we'll go up to 6th or they'll stay at 3rd?

We won't catch Dallas, that's for sure. They play their next 5 at home.

Minny has been in a slump, and their schedule gets easier. They will come out of this slump soon and will just have to stay in front of the Spurs who don't have their usual end-of-season momentum.

What I'm trying to say is that tonight's game WON'T decide whether or not we play the Wolves. Only the Wolves will decide that.

the only important thing for the rockets right now,is that they must win all the game they can ,without think about who'll be their opponent in the playofff.

It's expected that the Rockets always provide unexpected. With all the indications point to a lose, I'd say we win tonight!

    Rockets 98

After Nth OT, the refs take a timeout, and they never come back for some reason. Both coaches decide to call it off and both teams will have 0.5 win & 0.5 loss in their stats book.

Go for it! 3-1 will be a huge psycological advantage for the coming playoff series.

If i'm not mistaken, we would get home court advantage for the first round if we beat the pups tonight, and if we actually do face them in the first round. If that's true, this is a huge game for the rockets.
